We finally had the occasion to try our hankook tyres in plenty of snow these last weeks (Hankook RF10 215 R15). They are really good tyres in the snow -- we never had to put the chains on when other were struggling (although in 2WD). For those Delica owners living in Europe, Hankook are really to consider (especially if bought at the price i found: 270 euros for a set of four delivered at my door).

I loved my old Hankook tires, they were just all-season street tires, but I was able to keep up with, and in some cases, out do, everyone when offroading in the winter... I only got that vehicle stuck once with those tires, and the mud was over the axle before I got stuck!

If you get a chance, can you post a wide shot or two of your van with the 235's on it? You are at stock height on your van, right? I think I'm set on the lift and the 31's (anybody else out there running 31" Duratracs yet?), but I'd still like to see what the 235's (the WAAAY more sensible option...)look like overall (even though it's not about the looks... )

yep stock lowroof l300 with the 235 duratracs. Some torsion cranking on the front. I'll try to remember to post some pics tonight.

Just got lots of work done at CVI and had them send the van off to their alignment guy. Alignment definitely improved based on handling, hopefully it is 100% correct so my tires last me a while. Now trying to figure out exactly what the PSI should be. Will use chalk method I suppose.

I'm pretty sure the top photo indicates I should try less pressure to get a full contact patch.. at least in the rear currently trying 38psi all around, will try 35 next.

I like the tires so far - only thing I worry about is how long they will last if I do a lot of pavement driving. The rubber seems soft and my driving habits tend to be not so soft. It was a tough call for me between this tire and the BFG AT. The Duratrac is more aggressive while the BFG has legendary long life and comes in that perfect 30" size.

I've got my fingers crossed for the durability of these tires (hoping the DURATRAC name means something!), if they do well in that department I will be 100% satisfied.
