For Andy, the lady I rode with last Sunday managed to take some pictures that do the country side justice; and even makes my bike look great.

Thought the gardener hit a snake with the trimmer yesterday, but no it was something BIGGER than the two tiny tree snakes we've seen in our yard;

Glad it was wounded, because these centipedes are reportedly quite fast.

Edit – we would never harm one of these; they are a shy nocturnal predator that can take out many cockroaches and mice on a nightly basis.

Should take some pictures of some of the nifty older Highace's found around, some are mint and some are very custom... but mots of the well cared ones are sweet

This angry Tokay was keeping me from doing the dishes at home on Sunday (yeah lizard, way too go); he stayed like this all evening but was gone in the morning. Btw, this is the smallest one found we've seen so far, the crew that live behind the house are all larger.

Kevin

Whilst recently viewing pictures of fresh snow from Alberta yesterday; would like to remind everyone that we would welcome Delica.ca visitors to Chiang Mai Thailand. We have a rarely utilized spare bedroom with two beds, and little more local knowledge with every passing day, of what’s to do and see in Northwest Thailand. Would be fantastic to have a Canadian(s) to take on a bike tour, the choices and country side are truly fantastic for doing so. A license isn’t required in practice, but some previous two wheeled experience is a darn good idea. Truly this is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the journey, and with that said most bikes available here are smaller comparably, and slower, than Canada. For myself touring with the heavy drinking and constant girl chasing crowd lost its appeal very quickly, but have met some super people through the Golden Triangle forum.

Worth mentioning that the fresh water fishing opportunities are surprisingly good too.

Best Regards,
Kevin

I'm going to talk to my girlfriend seriously about this. Maybe next winter or spring (next as in after the ones coming up) if you're still around. Gotta plan ahead when money comes in at the apprentice rate haha.

Oh the bikes.... That is just way too perfect for me.

Sounds great Adam, South East Asia really has some of the greatest riding in the world.

We have a queen bed, a double bed, and two single foamies available. We are on the coach surfing network, but no takers, there is no storage of coaches available here. Talking to coach surfers here, even in a land of cheap accommodation coach surfing is the way to go in (great people, local knowledge, and more); Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia.

Will keep this thread alive help keep our expensive house – expensive! Our yearly rent is less than our yearly BC property taxes, but here is a superfluous luxury.

Last weekend in the jungle,

Best Regards,
Kevin
