This is not a hidden spot.
It's not what I really like to do with my Delica. (I'd rather be exploring, camping...)

But it's close to the city.
It's technical enough that you can work on your offroad driving skills.
There's enough people to help out if you break down or get stucked.
It's a short run.
There's amazing views.
There's lots of mud.
It's the PowerLine at the top of Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam.

We had 3 hrs to kill today so myself and the Tardisdeli decided to check it out. Had a good time after all although Christine had to take her glasses out so she couldn't see Jay abusing her truck... 8-)

I took a few videos but I'm unable to directly link them from youtube to our site, am I the only one?
So sorry but if you're curious to check the videos you'll need to click on the links...

Here's Christine doing the driving, is she smiling?

Same puddle, just more speed. (Boys will be boys)

This video shows some of the driving involved, a little more technical... gotta like the end of the video!

So next time that we don't have time for a full out weekend we can always go in the sandbox with our Tonka... :-D If anyone would like to test their Delica under more extreme condition than the paved road, don't hesitate to contact us for an outing. Always looking for an excuse to go play!

Also, if someone hasn't had the chance to buy one of those amazing vehicles and would like to see them in action or even to try them, again send us a PM... there's room for 7 in those after all, room for you!

Cheers,

Nice, thanks for the videos. Great that there are places close to the city where you can have some extra fun. :)

Yes, nice video David; hard to believe I was biking with my nephew and the dog right there just a month an ago.

Would have be cool to run into a couple of the Deli crew out playing.

Thanks!
Kevin

I'll make sure to save the really comfy captain chairs for you guys on our next outing! We can even try that old stomp again 8-) .
Are you any closer to get yourself a Delica? Time to get together again soon anyway so let's keep in touch.

Cheers!

Ah, we're getting there, we're getting there...!

In spring methinks, although I'd love to get rid of the Prawn prior to then!

Captains chairs sounds excellent, as long as Marceio is occupying one :M

I agree, it is time to get together again, I owe you $10 for our first Delica part!

Hey David!

Fun videos! I used to romp around that area many years ago. Nice 'n' close to home. Would love to get up there one day with you guys and test the skills and capablities. Looks like a blast. My wife's a little tentative when it comes to that stuff so if she can see others doing it she may feel more comfy elsewhere.

We have some great backroads within 5 minutes of our weekend place on the sunshine coast too... and guest accomodations... hmmm...

G'morning Jaggedfish.

Yes, it's a lot of fun although you don't really get anywhere :-( . That's why we try to go out camping once in a while but yup, good practice ground and so close to home.

Shoot me a PM with your ph.# and next time we go I'll give you a call.
Cheers!
