Thanks to all who offered to help. Brian (helibrian) managed to open the gate after almost 2 hrs of wrangling- much appreciated!

Reward: open my rear gate?
Once again the rear gate on my '91 L300 is jammed, but this time no amount of lube and coaxing will get it open (not speaking in metaphors). I brought it to the nearest Delica mechanic but they had no luck either, and they are saying it might need to be cut open, which I'd rather not do. Anyone in t...

Headlight light bulbs
Where's a good place to buy new bulbs? Looking to replace a dead one on my 91 L300. Are they easy to replace yourself?
Thanks!
Peter

Re: Rear gate latch effed!
Thanks for the tips! Perseverance was the name of the game- just continued to wiggle gently and lube, until I heard a "click" and it un-latched itself. After that I was able to open the gate and take the lock out from underneath and give it a clean. a bit rusty too. Also, the rear handle c...

Rear gate latch effed! w/ One Possible Solution.
Hi, My rear gate latch is stuck closed (1991 L300). I've taken off the back panel, WD-40'd the lot, wiggled all the bits that I could, incl with vise grip pliers, but it still won't budge (the lock tab moves up and down, but the latch mechanism won't budge). Handle is stuck in. Any thoughts much app...

Re: Horn button repair
Thanks Lapprentis. Looks like I may have broken off a metal tab in the inside that hooks on when the screw tightens. May have to fashion a replacement!

Re: Horn button repair
Any tips on how to get the horn back on the steering wheel? I did the fix with the straws (thanks!) but now I can't seem to get it to mount back on. I see there is a little flat retainer metal piece attached to the screw that comes up from under the steering wheel, that might be bent out of shape. I...

Key broke in ignition
Does anybody have any ideas of how to get a broken off key out of the ignition?? Cannot be reached by pliers. It's in there deep.
Thanks in advance!

Re: L300 Passenger side Mirror...
Hi, I've got the same problem, after taking my L300 through an alder car wash on a spur road this weekend. Did you have any luck finding a replacement? I'm hoping to be able to replace just the glass without having to buy the whole assembly.
cheers

Re: Looking for delica seat belts
I realize that this is an old post, but I'm looking for seat belts for my rear bench seat in a 1991 L300 Exceed I have the both parts of the middle set, and the "male" components of the side sets, so just looking for the receiving part of the buckle for the sides, I see the anchor that is ...

Re: seat belts???
I'm not sure if this post is too old to be responded to, but I've also got the very same issue, with the rear bench on my 91 L300 only having one functional (middle) belt/buckle combo, with the side seats missing the buckles (though it looks like there is a place to anchor them, just above the rear ...

Re: Burning Man 2011
I've just returned from Burning Man 2012. The Delica held up well! (more than I can say for my body). Any tips on post-Burning Man maintenance? Change air filter? How do you avoid alkaline playa dust from eating your engine up? Any ideas welcome!
cheers.
cheers.

Re: Bench -> Bed hinges
So glad to find this thread! I've just purchased an old Z-bed (in a lovely yellow-green tartan, from '73 Westy, from wrecker in Langley, $125, he has more) to go in my 91 L300 Exceed. I will be building a simple platform over the rear wheel wells to sub for the VW's rear engine platform. I will be u...
