Re: Whining noise and shake
Marc,
That whine would only happen to me on really cold days. I would just pull over, put it in reverse and back up a few meters with the wheel straight to 'reset/unlock' the hubs. Seems like the intense cold for some reason would partially engage one of them. Not sure about the shake...

So long - thanks for all the help the past few years
Just sold my L300 last night to a great local guy - maybe he'll pop up on here. Big thanks to everyone on this site that helped me figure out the random little issues with my van over the years. This site is such a wealth of information, knowledge and more often than not, kindness. Have to say, my d...

Check your alternator belt too, that was causing mine to squeek and chirp. I tigtened that up a bit and that worked.

Re: Tips for First Time Buyer
Having some fun looking thru the auctions.
One question, when I use the button at the top to specify US dollars, the starting bids for 96-97 delicas is 300 to 800 dollars??? That can't be right can it??

Re: Replacing front drivers side window
Jebus H - just spent 20 mins typing out a thoughtful response and it didn't post...grrrr. Make sure the window is in the channel/groove at the front of the door - towards the door hinges. If it's not going up and down in that groove, that for sure would make it jamb. Try adjusting the window side to...

Re: Replacing front drivers side window
Hey G-man. on the door, on the inside there are 4 bolts. The 2 on the right are the ones I removed. This allows the scissor lift 'system' to be moveable, and will allow you to first get the wheel on the left into the track on the window, and then you just have to fiddle with the wheel/roller on the ...

Re: can someone help with trick to installing drivers side g
Hi Pooch, Thanks for this. That is exactly what I ended up doing. I actually removed both bolts on the right, and that allows the roller arm on the left to be moved quite easily into position so that you can get both arms into the tracks attached to the window. I probably should have just tried that...

Re: Name that sound
I have that exact issue as soon as it gets a little cooler out and I believe it's the brake pads. Once I've driven a little, it no longer makes that sound backing up, so don't know if it's just residual brake dust in the mornings. Anyhow, I'm convinced its brake related because if you back up with t...

can someone help with trick to installing drivers side glass
Hi guys, My van was broken into a week ago, finally getting to install the glass tonight. There are two 'rails' that the window lifting arms slide into, but I can't seem to get them to line up. There must be some little trick I figure to get the arms of the lifter to slide into the 2 track fixed to ...

Shocks for sure and what about your bushings? Mine were pretty cracked, crumbly.
Easy to replace them...http://www.delica.ca/forum/here-s-how-t ... -5137.html

Banff/Canmore/Calgary - any 300's being parted out?
Some a-hole smashed my drivers side window today in the parkade beside my work.
If anyone has a lead on a 300 being parted out, or a source for glass for a 300...??
Thanks guys
Steve

Co-Operators Insurance in Canmore AB
Ask for Michael
Also try searching Canmore, Insurance - there's a post with good reviews regarding his service.
I have 2 RHDs fully insured with them/him - very affordable.
