Re: Do new Rancho 9000s work with an old Rancho air compress
Thanks for the tips (especially about swithing from dials to air; that was a piece I was wondering about). As I have the 0-5 scale, sounds like I have the first gen. As I doubt I'll ever be aiming for a specific setting (e.g. 6), I don't think I'll even need to do the mental conversion. I'll simply ...

Re: Do new Rancho 9000s work with an old Rancho air compress
Update: Rancho got back to me and said they should be compatible. So I'm going to give it a shot and will know in a couple of weeks (one of the shocks is on back-order).

Re: Do new Rancho 9000s work with an old Rancho air compress
The hose slides into a "Push To Connect" (PTC) adaptor. When you crawl under your wagon to look at the rear axle mounts, check to see how the hose connects to the shock absorbers. If your current shocks have the PTC connexion then the new shocks should fit the existing system. Good to kno...

Re: Do new Rancho 9000s work with an old Rancho air compress
You are correct when you assume that my vehicle came with the shocks installed. However, I don't have the bluetooth system. What I have is a guage in the cab with 3-buttons (compress, release front and release back). This is directly connected to the compressor. And when I say directly connected, I ...

Do new Rancho 9000s work with an old Rancho air compressor?
Hello, I've looked through the forum and can't seem to find an answer to my question. I have a 1994 L-300 (Chamonix) with a 2 inch lift and Rancho 9000 shocks with a small air compressor that allows me to stiffen the shocks from within the cabin. That's all good, except I need to replace the shocks....

Potential Parts Van in Ottawa
Hello, If you look at my previous thread from several months ago, you'll see I have an L-300 with a dead engine. I've been looking into a replacement engine but have yet to get the one I was looking for. I'm still looking into this, but at the same time I have a chance at buying a running vehicle fo...

Re: Need Help in Sudbury
Sorry to hear that news... I would still like to know what happened....especially to make sure external problem that may have caused the failure to be identified...such as a bad cooling system, turbo failure, injection problem, or ??? So you do not blow a new motor. Good point. I was planning on fi...

Re: Need Help in Sudbury
Here's an update on where I'm at: Compression was very low (around 40) on one of the cylinders. I asked my mechanic to look into it and what he found was that cylinders 2 & 3 are heavily scored and he is suggesting a replacement engine will be cheaper than trying to repair it. Unfortuately I onl...

Re: Need Help in Sudbury
I'll definitely look into the EGT (in order to avoid any future issues). Thanks. In case anyone is interested, both the vehicle and I have arrived in Ottawa. My mechanic will be going over it tomorrow ... we'll see how bad the damage is. Andrew P.S. I was doing 90km/h on flat, level ground (outside ...

Re: Need Help in Sudbury
Thanks for all the comments. My current plan is to organize shipping tomorrow with renting a U-haul (truck and car transporter) as a back up (albeit more expensive) plan. Andrew P.S. In response to the "slow down" comment, we were driving at about 90km/h. We thought that a reasonable speed...

Need Help in Sudbury
Hello, I'm new and this is my first post (I will post an proper introduction later, but as you will see below I have urgent question to ask). I am a new Delica ('92 L300) owner. How new? I bought the vehicle on Thursday. I'm in the midst of bringing it back to my home town (Ottawa) where I intend my...
