if the picture at the bottom of your post is any indicator, your eaves are about half the size of the ones that were on my Delica. It was literally hard to see out the side, because everything was blurry... not exactly safe. also, couldn't poke my head out to talk, they came down that far.

Now I haven't had my Delica for very long, so I'm no expert on the subject by any means..... However, when I take my middle seats out, I just undo the bolts and lift the rails and everything out. No, they didn't vibrate at high speeds, they were actually pretty good. That is, until I broke one at the car wash. Then I removed them both and got rid of them (it was very cold, and they were brittle).
