From what I have read online over the years if your Batt is at 11.6 volts its pretty much dead, were a battery 12.6 is in good shape, I would check and clean the terminals, and inspect the outside of the battery for any bulging or cracks. then try and boost or charge the battery

I have a zap strap holding a key under my van. Its hard to see unless you know were to look. only thing I may need a knife to get it off. But that's a small problem compared to locking myself out of my van

can you get a photo of it ? I am curious as I too have a 92 exceed and do not have that warning light. do you happen to have dual batts?

The alarm is a legal requirement for cars in japan. It might be, but I believe the OP was about how quickly the EGT's climb to the danger zone. True but the implication was that the alarm was sometbing specific for the car. Like a "warning! L300 meltdown imminent!" Heh. Maybe it needs one...

Generally Fusible links are in the battery wire it self, think of it as a fail safe to the blade fuses, I know my 89 ram 150 had it on the positive side batt cable

Hey man any chance you have the corner body pc from the left side above the head light still ? I smached mine up last week and it would rather just bolt a new pc in as the body shop wont touch it :(
