Paint Colour

So we went on a hiking trip the other weekend to Twin Lakes and had to travel up a logging road. After our hike I noticed that we had a long scratch in the passenger side door. While my boyfriend is sure that someone took a key to the door, I can't imagine who would do such a thing and I'm sure we m...

Re: HITCH FOR DELICA

just received some more photographs of the actual hitch installed. Towing Capacity with trailer brakes 4000-4400 lbs, without trailer brake 1700 pounds in 100 kmph. Not to change the subject at all, but I noticed that the sliding door is on the right hand side on this blue Delica as opposed to the ...

Re: Shaking Steering Column

Has it always been shaky? Or is it only shaky when driving? If it's nothing mechanical, it could be the tires of all things. After a trip up a logging road our Deli started shaking. The steering column the most. And only while driving. We hung out the window to see if the tires were wobbly but nothi...

Fuel Economy?

I am expecting to get far better fuel economy than I am. Somewhere I read 32 mpg can be expected. On the hwy, at it's top cruising speed of 120 kmh, I see less than 400 km to tank.

Oregon/California Border

On March 21st we were driving south bound on the I-5 on our way to California (about an hour or so away). Feeling lonely in a land of no Delicas and strange looks, a matching white Delica (sans surfboards) passed us going the other way north bound. I tired to get my hand out the window in time to wa...

Re: Maiden Voyage

Hey guys thanks for the info. We are sititng outside Ensenada on the last week of our trip. For the most part the Delica has been making quite a stir. My boyfriend is getting a complex since no one wants to talk about him only about his ride. We just had the hippie owner of a local pizza place down ...

Maiden Voyage

So my boyfriend after over a year of drooling over a Delica has finally done the deed and purchased a beautiful 1990 white super exceed with less than 75,000 kms on it! That was last week. This week we are packing it up, driving from Vancouver down to Joshua Tree and then on to the baja of Mexico fo...
