Hi Bob,
I'm in Seattle and bought my Delica in 2013. I'm putting together a meet this fall. You can PM me or post here.

Re: Crankcase oil separator/catch can. A tale of woe.
I use a simple stainless cylinder situated under the driver's seat. I apparently came out of an L300 in Japan and I bought it from CCA. It seem to work well. A little tricky to mount as it eliminates the first leg of the intake pipe.

Re: Opinions on drilling through the rear floor
Obviously, you have to lacte it where it doesn't intersect with something. Beyond that, I would use nutserts to fasten. These go by different names, depending on the manufacturer. They act essentially like pop rivets or blind rivets, but are steel and have female threads. The advantage is that they ...

Re: How much rust is too much?
That is one I would walk away from. The issue, as one person noted, is that when the rust is visible on the outside of the car, there will be 10x that many places just waiting to happen. This car has terminal rot. What is interesting, is that the areas you note would not be the first places I would ...

Re: Missing pipe under drivers seat?
As the links say, though it looks like there is a missing piece, it is, in fact, a way to keep the dust and debris out of the intake. Think of the cavity underneath the seat as an air chamber, a pre filter, if you will. Major, heavier than air debris will fall out and not be swept up into the intake...

Sun roof adjustment
Hi All, I just replaced the gasket on my '87 L300 sunroof. It is the type over the second set of seats. The problem that I had even before I replaced the gasket, is that the sunroof wouldn't close all the way unless I pushed up on the rear and "helped" the motor. I noticed when I took thin...

Try a wrecker. As well, new ones are available from my friendly Mit parts guy here in Seattle. Let me know if you need to contact him, as I know the Mit places in BC are not keen on ordering Delica stuff.

Falco, I can't find the original link which showed a difference in production between an L300 and an L300 Delica Starwagon, but this link http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/en/corporate/ir/library/pdf/fact2006.pdf will give you an idea. of what the numbers look like. I had heard that they didn't meet ...

Re: Lack of Power / Possible blown turbo
I'm in Seattle and have had good luck with finding someone to work on my L300. Shops that work on the latest diesels only, won't like the Deli because it is basic, old tech diesel. You need to find someone who understands and likes older diesels. Parts are not a problem at all. I would second that I...

Re: 2000 Delica L300??
Falco, you are right about Wiki. However, the information I got was directly from Mitsubishi's annual report which listed all the models of cars Mit produced in 2006, where they were produced and where they went. I try to find the link again.

Re: Wet feet
I had a leaking problem on the driver's side. Yes, Chris that one screw under the windshield gasket is difficult to get at. Once I removed the quarter panel, I cut off the sealant and liberally put 3M 5200 on, thinking that would fix the leak. It did not. Next, while I was having the front painted, ...

Re: 2000 Delica L300??
Hard to say. There were about 12,000 made in 2006, if I recall. Airbags and two air conditioners makes this look like a good deal.

Re: 2000 Delica L300??
Mitsubishi, according to their website, last produced the L300 Delica in 2006. This was only for export as the car was not sold in Japan for a number of years prior to that. So, it could very well be an L300.

Re: Looking for tips on using the 4x4 in the cold snowy wint
As the others have said, 4WD doesn't mean you can drive with abandon. 4WD means all four wheels are being powered. When you hit the brakes, all four wheels are locked up.
