Re: Detective searches for Delica
Go next door to Laos and get a Hyundai starwagon. They are either a rebranded delica or a clone. I saw tons of them there about 5 years ago. And they are left hand drive.

PCV vents to atmosphere
I just realized that on my 1995 L400 diesel, my PCV valve pipe goes down under the van and just ends (spraying black around the torsion bar that it's zip tied on to). Where is it supposed to go? There's a blocked fitting that goes into the air intake just after the air cleaner box. I'm thinking that...

Interior lights stopped working?
Thanks. It was indeed the 10amp fuse.
Can you post that pic again.
I can't seem to get the link to work and I'd like to label all the fuses.
Cheers
Simon

Interior lights stopped working?
Today I replaced some interior dome light bulbs and now I have no interior lights working at all. They were working when I started because I was fiddling with the ones up front. I changed the middle and rear dome lights and no joy. Then I checked the front ainterior lights and nothing. I also notice...

L400 2.8 stalls in cold 2 min after starting fine.
Mine does this sometimes in cool weather. I think it could be moisture from condensation in the fuel tank or somewhere in the fuel delivery system. It will run rough and stall and be fairly hard to start again sometimes. Then it will settle down and be fine. It seems to do it when we get down around...

Turn signal switch for l400
I got one from Mardy. Not cheap at $300 but I'm enjoying it now. One thing though. He said it's a simple plug in unit, but it was not exactly the same on mine. Mine has a larger unit that seemed to include the wiper switch as well. The one Mardy sent looked exactly like the right hand side for the s...

Signal toggle wiggle!?
Seems nobody else has this issue. The wiggle was definitely not normal. It has made the leap to almost falling off. I now have to hold the thing in when signalling. I'll be looking for a replacement signal toggle switch unit. I'm all ears if anyone has any tips for sourcing or installing that. Cheer...

Signal toggle wiggle!?
My signal toggle switch feels quite loose and wiggly but works fine. It's on my 95 L400. Does anyone else experience this? Could be a piece cracked inside. I would hate to have it fall off one day. I should mention that I have an aftermarket steering wheel (the van came like that) and there is not a...

Electrical burning smell when heater is on
I too have noticed an electrical burning or burning plastic type smell from time to time. It does not seem to be related to the heater operation though. I have not opened things up to investigate as it is intermittent and seems to have stopped happening. What I have noticed is that since this happen...

Re: 265/65/R17 tires on a L400???
Another tire/rim update on my van. I picked up a set of steel pathfinder rims with 235/75R15 tires. They were a good deal at $100 for the set. They appeared to fit the 108mm centre hub and the offset was good. I went to put them on last week and hit some trouble with the centre hub. The rims are not...

One more thing:
I got my lenses from rising sun and they included some adhesive sealant for free. I think its called butyl tape and it worked great!

Re: How to Change 94-96 L400 Lens
Great tip! I just did mine and found a good yet long winded video on youtube that helped me figure out how easy it is to get the headlights out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNA0JzfCrLs It also shows you what happens if you bake your headlight pods at 220 centigrade. They melt! Here's my headligh...

Re: 265/65/R17 tires on a L400???
In case anyone is interested, I tried the 265/65R17 tires on Land cruiser rims. The centre bore hole was too small. It was very close but would not slide over the hub (the L400 is 108mm centre bore) It looked like the tires would have been ok on the vehicle. I am confident that there would have been...
