The car made a similar sound as you describe.. and it was not good because the timing belt was aftermarket and did not fit the cam cog correctly... Ok after all of the discussions on the temp gauge... I started to look into mine.. :o ours never reads above the 1/10 th mark so i wanted to check the gauge and wiring. I see that the head has 2 probes in it.. one is 2 wire an done is single wire. I would imagine that the 2 wire one is a temp probe ...
