Re: AC compressor rattle

Lately I've been having a strange intermittant rattling too. It's loud, brief and metallic in nature. Almost like someone is putting a metal ruler into a fan. It only happens while the AC is on and my rpms are climbing - like just before the transmission shifts from first to second gear. I'm going u...

Re: horn won't stop

Yeah...it's five a.m...my dogs start to go nuts. I tell the wife to let them out. She tells me the air conditioner is making a terrible howling noise. I come out in my underwear to find the air conditioner is fine but the Delica is screaming uncontrollably. It finally happened...I had noticed it gett...

WVO, SVO, Biodeiesel and taxation

Hey folks, We're looking at putting in a SVO system in our Deli here in SK. Being in the heart of canola country, I have ready access to fresh canola oil - by the drum - and not a bad price either (I have to buy five drums at a time - will have quality steel drums available for people). My question ...

What!?!

That's ridiculous. Either you're shitting us or this cop needs his head examined. Let's see this ticket. Did he maybe give you a warning about headlights or something? Send a scan. If your giving us the straight goods, I recommend you get some research done and contact your local media ASAP. What a ...

Letters sent

I sent a message addressing all the issues, the pros and cons of each. My hat is off to whoever has the stamina to read it all. My most pressing point I tried to make was that NA auto manufacturers need to step it up a notch in order to remain competitive globally. If they made a rugged, long-lastin...

Waving

All the RHD people here in SK wave at each other. If someone sees you at the Tim Hortons, they come into the lot to say hi - whether they drive a Pajero, a Cruiser, Delica or otherwise. This has been a strange post. I never thought there would be an issue of "to wave or not to wave". Absur...

2008 meet

Any Deli owners play instruments? I play guitar, harmonica and I like drumming a bit too - dejembe and NAFN hand drum. My wife plays flute a bit too. I'd like to have a bonfire or two during the 2008 trip, ringed by Delicas with some campfire tunes playing on the six string. Shepherd plays banjo and...

When Mods go Wrong, very wrong

Hey all, Thought this might raise some eyebrows. This post illustrates how ha seemingly innocent mod can get get you into trouble. Changed the bumper out to a full sizeds job with hitch, then the exhaust was directed right at the shiney, new white bumper. It was instantly black. Sooooo, I got the ex...

I'm with you Andy.
Just going to clean mine up, put some new plugs and wires in see what happens.
Mine only smokes in the morning, for about two of three minutes, and only if it has been below zero.

I had a friend once, who dropped off his landcruiser for a stereo install and they burned it to the ground with the soldering iron that was left on inside. Another friend's brother took his Carmanghia to get his heater core replaced and they cracked his dash bezels. A week after he got it home, a pi...

Which one is that one? I stripped a few off the outside. was it the one on the drivers side rear window or on the hatch glass?
Get the kids to translate all of them word for word and I'll make you some new stickers!
