I made my own plate and cut the threads with a tap. 1/4 " NPT I believe. Seems to work ok.

I have a 95 L400 Diesel LWB and get 450 to 500 km out of a tank. Thats an average of 12-13l/100km. I drive mainly highway.

Auber Digital Boost Gauge
Here is what my setup looks like. The open spot is for a blue coolant temp gauge. You can see the alarm light and buzzer i wired to the gauges. Also from Auber.[img]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180404/8991...

I have two of the round ones. I like them a lot. I wish they would dim more at night. I attach a pic when i get to my van.

I assume you mean 5V and not 5A. Automotive sensors commonly use 5 Volts. The gauge reduces the supply voltage to the sensor to 5 Volts.
I like these gauges. I gave 2 in my van and plan to add 2 more.

Reversing at night or in low light situations
Here is my solution for this problem. Two inexpensive LED flood lights from Amazon. Powered by a relay that is either energized when the reverse lights come on and also by a switch in the dashboard. Helpful whe loading the van at night or when you hook up a trailer. It is working good for me.[img]ht...

LT 235 75 15 104/101s tires on stock l400 rims
That is the exact tire the guys at coombs Country Auto put on my 95 L400 when I bought it from them. I am very happy with the tires. No issues.
These guys know what they are doing.

Starting Issue (not due to the cold?!?!)
Are your glow plugs working? Any smoke? Maybe pump the primer until it builds pressure.
Unless there is something really wrong with the fuel it won't gel. No additive needed.

Best Fuel Additive
I have a 95 Gen 1 Delica with a 4M40. I am a heavy duty technician by trade, working on all kinds of Diesel engine. Here is my opinion, no facts. Diesel additives are not necessary. It is true that ULSD, ulta low sulfur diesel, had a low lubricity level and could harm injection pumps and injectors. ...

Hamemade throttle adjust
My 95 L400 Diesel came without a manual throttle adjust. When I preheat my engine with my espar heater and then start it, the engine idles too low, causing a lot of vibrations during warmup. I decided to build my own. I let the pictures speak for themselves. Let me know if you figured out a better s...

Tapping the fuel line to install air heater
I would follow Growlers advice. I installed plenty of these heaters and never use the supplied fuel pick up tube, unless its already there from a previous heater. I always cut the rubber fuel line, low and close to the tank and then put a barbed tee fitting in the existing line. Made myself a kit wi...

Soon to be on the North Coast.
Have you made up your mind if you want a gas or a diesel. How handy are you? A lot of the issues discussed here are in regards of the Diesel engine. I think the gas engine is a very good alternative. I am a heavy duty diesel mechanic and once in my life i wanted to own a diesel vehicle. Otherwise i ...
