Am I missing a part?
I'm attempting to install a skid plate I purchased, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where it lines up. There's nothing for it to bolt to that I can figure out. I'm wondering if my Delica is missing some parts underneath the front end? This is what it looks like with the "air guide&qu...

Front skid plates for sale, interested?
I bought one of these but cannot for the life of me figure out where it bolts up. I have an '89 L300 and have removed the two thin front guards from beneath my van. Does anyone have photos of one of these installed?

Upper Ball Joint
You need MR241623, but MB527349 is just a discontinued part number for the same thing. The ball joints you're finding on Amazon under either part number are actually Febest 1220-PORTUP ball joints, which work just fine but might not have a grease nipple like the genuine item. Still, at $22 they're ...

Upper Ball Joint
I have noticed a creaking noise from my front-left suspension, especially when going over bumps or potholes (it's super noticeable going over speed bumps). I looked under the van (1989 Delica), and noticed the upper ball joint oozing grease—not good. I have a feeling this is causing the noise, and e...

Are the Montero and Pajero hitches the same? If so, there are plenty to choose from new.

Portland, OR Delica Meet: Feb.24
It's Portland's first "Deli Meet"! Let's meet up at IBU Public House (4439 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. Portland, OR 97221) to check out each others' vans, grab some beers and grub, and talk Delicas! https://www.facebook.com/events/164532427503269 While I realize not everyone is on Facebook...

Another Tire choice to make!
I have The Geolandar A/T G015 from Yokohama on my Delica and love them. I've had them in sand, snow, mud, gravel, dirt, and of course, pavement. I love 'em.
I wrote a review on them for our website: http://crankshaftculture.com/2017/12/01 ... ain-tires/

Mine broke removing them. I am using a Milwaukee M12 Impact Driver, FWIW.feetforbrains wrote:Are you guys breaking bolts because the old ones are seized on the van/hatch or new ones cranking them down on installation? Curious to know before I start wrenching.

I just had my mechanic take a look at the van (had a bunch of work done including thermostat, belts, sticky clutch, new brake fluid). Apparently the fuel filter had never been replaced, by the way. Like never. He said it looked like this was the original one (the van has 130,000 km on it). Going to ...

I found out today that I'm going to need to replace my struts. Thanks Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk No problem. The install is pretty easy, having a tall person will help as you have to install the new struts with the gate opened all the way. And BE CAREFUL when tightening the bolts as they b...

Your cold-start video makes me wonder if one (or more) of your injectors has a bad spray pattern. Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if it's injectors, too. I'm running through a bottle of Diesel Kleen (multiple treatments) to see if we can get the injectors a bit cleaner. I was also considering putting ...

FYI, I also bought my struts for my L300 here. Very happy with them, too.

I was thinking this week: Would it be possible that the EGR valve is stuck open or fouling? I had a Suzuki Sidekick with a dodgy EGR system. When the system would get plugged up, it'd idle like crap and would throw a code. Of course, if I manually pushed up on the diaphragm, it'd stumble, etc. Thoug...

Question about tire
I run a 30x9.50R15 on our L300. I have new Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 all-terrains and love them so far. Quiet, capable, and they also feature the winter tire mark. I was told 30x9.50 is the larges size you can fit without a lift. So far so good. Love these tires. Here's a pic: http://crankshaftcul...

Sticky Clutch Pedal
When I release the clutch pedal on my 1989 Delica (4D56), the pedal doesn't come all the way back up. It goes about 3/4 of the way up then sticks (well after actual clutch engagement, thankfully). I can bump it all the way back up with my foot and it'll spring right back into it's correct position. ...
