Replacement L300 Windshield
Not sure if you ever resolved this. I know the post is a little old, but I picked up a replacement windshield for my L300 from Rising Sun Auto Imports. They can ship, but it's pretty expensive. I just happened to have a friend driving back from Vancouver that was able to pick mine up for me. It's r...

Gell-In: North West Delica Meet-Up
Morning folks, I got the ball rolling for an island meet-up this up-coming February 17th. I'd like to invite you to come out to Vashon Island for coffee and then a tour around one of the Pacific Northwest's most scenic spots. Itinerary: ~10:00 AM - Meet and park at The Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie...

Almost fitted with Geolanders, but opted for the BF Goodrich ALL-TERRAIN T/A® KO2 30X9.50R15/C 104S RWL and couldn't be happier. IMO you want the "ALL" not "MUD." They fit the stock rims and don't require a lift while giving the van a bit more clearance. Bonus, they are bombproof...

EGR Delete
What eventually happened was: The bolts failed due to galvanic reaction to the mild steel plate. This occurred climbing out of Kamloops, heading toward Merritt. I limped home to North Van; replaced the elbow pipe that the EGR bolted to with a loaner; took the original elbow pipe to a fab shop and h...

EGR Delete
A Saturday well spent! The EGR delete was on my to do list when the Strada arrived for all the reasons you noted. My only regret was buying a cheap EGT gauge from amazon. .... How about some pictures? Ralph in Winnipeg Thanks Ralph, I'm having no end of trouble posting pics on Delica.ca today. Keep...

EGR Delete
Okay, the EGR delete is done. It's a time-consuming thing, but not too difficult to make happen. 1) Remove driver's side seat. 2) Remove turbo bay cover 3) Remove air intake channel (including steel middle with 2x 12mm bolts) 4) Unplug all vacuum tubes 5) Detach two 12mm bolts from top of EGR which ...

EGR Delete
It's especially rainy today, but the materials I bought to complete an EGR delete showed up late yesterday afternoon, so I'm going to look for a break in the downpour and hope for the best. Maybe tidy up the garage in the meantime. Yeah, I do plan on removing the EGR on my 4D56t. I have a couple of ...

What does this do?
Looks like a switch the the throttle arm presses at high RPMs, but the wire disappears behind the firewall to the batteries. It's mounted on top of the IP. Another hard to start in cold temperature question.
The goal is to get it to start with little or no difference in turn over time regardless of temp, and while that may be a dream, I need to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I'll be able to get it started as I take the van up to the mountains, often camping overnight even in winter. I hear ya, I'...

Missing Tire Kit
Because the lift points are so far under the front I carry a 12 ton pump jack. Check you lift point clearances with your tire size and then get something that will fit and extend at 10 cm above resting point. More is better

When we import vehicles from Japan we look for corroborating signs- general condition of the vehicle, wear on the pedals, service stickers or markers on the engine. If they don't add up you can remove the instrument cluster and look for evidence of tampering- fingerprints in the dust on the back of...

Fuse clarification
My radio and clock both quit working... and neither are shown on my fuse panel. Does anyone know which fuse those would be run off of? They do not affect anything else it seems. I have to check my WVO components today... any ideas? Josh Here's the best diagram for fuses I've seen not in Japanese. h...

Another hard to start in cold temperature question.
Just a thought: how cold is cold? If the fuel has gelled then it's going to be starved no matter how much you pump it. Mine is now way too tall to fit in may garage so I've been checking in on the fuel. D2 in the US isn't going to gel until sub-zero temps, but we get those occashionally. Sent from m...

You were driving your white Delica with front bumper bike rack in downtown Victoria this afternoon. I drove by you in my black and silver Chamonix along north bound 101.
