Re: Turbo for 4D56T engine?

Now I've actually had a good look at mine I can see one of the "ports" (don't know what else to call it) is blocked off from the factory on the turbo itself - The actual downpipe which connects to the exhaust pipe on the pajero manifold has both these ports which is the discrepancy I'm loo...

Re: Turbo for 4D56T engine?

I just uploaded a pic of the turbo assembly I pulled out of my van this arvo, I'm not sure how to post it here to view both on the one page.. The pic is a little large anyway, but you can see the different shape manifold - Although they're both relatively the same size by the looks, just a little di...

Re: Turbo for 4D56T engine?

I'm in Auckland, New Zealand. I'm just curious about the Pajero manifold - Matching up the Turbo is no drama, obviously a rebuilt one would be the best bet but I'm sketch on financing that at the moment, so the next best will have to do, even if I just get 20,000KM out of it or so it'll see me throu...

Re: Turbo for 4D56T engine?

Well it was a TD04. the part# specifically is: TD04-49177-0-S. The shaft is rooted, and I've lost a bit of impeller(?), I assume whatever lil bits of impeller have been sucked INTO the engine as opposed to blown out of it? It actually looks like the impeller has been ground off as opposed to snapped...

Turbo for 4D56T engine?

Is it a TD04? I know mine is blown with the "ring ting ting" noise from the external of the engine and the amount of smoke exiting the exhaust - That and the fact it happened all of a sudden with a huge loss of power! Am still running on all four so it's not all bad.. I have a 91 L300 Cham...

Re: Hi all,

The silver/black two-tone with the green graphic seems pretty popular in Canada. This country is full of these vehicles, and the colour scheme seems pretty unique here, I have the only one I've seen locally, yet almost every second person posting here has the exact same one!

Hi all,

Looks like a great L300 resource, I'd done the tailgate lift mod within about 20 minutes of joining, I'd often cursed that thing for being eye level when fully opened, having to duck under it and whatnot. All good now though. So yeah, lots of great info, and it seems lots of skilled people to ask th...
