Re: Headlight Questions: Day Time Running Lights Substitute, different headlights?
Easily disconnected by removing and bypassing the drl module. I pulled mine out 8 years ago no issues.
If you want LED I would add it as an accessory. I placed mine on the switch that had the "fog lamps". Works well, but just for off road use.

Not an authority, however in my experience that is not smoke but steam and you have a coolant leak.

No replies; surprising.

Steering boot leak
Question, at the risk of sounding uninformed; I have tears in my steering boots on both sides in which power steering fluid has leaked out, all of it in fact. Isn't the joint that the boot covers supposed to be greased only? It doesn't make sense to me that there is steering fluid under there. Clear...

It depends what your aspirations are, but I found myself unexpectedly impressed with the area just north of Nipigon on hwy 11.

Re: Driving across Canada to live in NL. How to prepare?
I just spent the winter in PEI, now back in BC. Quite the drive indeed. I didn't take too many spares with me as I felt good about my maintenance being up to date. I did take a spare thermometer, assorted metric bolts, wiring gear, and many many tools. I also brought some waxy cardboard and a jumpsu...

Re: Windshield washer tank
Sounds strange,
Should come out directly at a 90° angle when pulled. The plastic container has an indented groove on one side that slides on a metal bracket.
Good luck

Re: New IP rebuild, now sputters on startup
No warranty... I never even met the guy! Had to send it off by courier to the other end of the island to some old timer who is the only person who rebuilds these things. Oh PEI. Just getting someone to look at my van here is a major challenge. The shop that took it out specialises in heavy equipment...

New IP rebuild, now sputters on startup
I had my injector pump rebuilt recently. Now when starting cold she cranks longer, starts and then shakes/studders/sputters intermittently for the first minute or so before settling down. When the sputter occurs, black smoke comes out the tailpipe. Before this, even with a leaky IP, she started up p...

I've found that is a good reference point, although if you drive through backwards you get a bit more.Lapprentis wrote:Glad to lear that the -not to go more deep than- level line is that side marker all around the Delica, right ?

Re: Left Hand Drive
The only LHD Delica I have seen was a camper from Switzerland, and I was surprised to see the sliding door was still on the left side. If I could change anything about my van it would be to have it on the curb side. Driving on the right doesn't seem to matter much for me.

Re: Driver's Captain Seats Chairs in a L300
I have looked at switching the rear seats for the drivers seat. Wouldn't it be great to be able to swivel the front seats around? While virtually anything is possible, I feel the rear captains chairs are not viable in the front as the mechanism is lower down and there is no headroom to spare in the ...
