Re: How are the 1998 models in quality/features?
Thank you all for your replies and perspectives. Definitely convincing, and I actually do like the new look. The only unfortunate thing is that my dog won't have a slide window to stick his head out (I actually switched the windows on my current one to sliding ones just for that). Anyone looking for...

How are the 1998 models in quality/features?
So, I have had my L300 Super Exceed Crystal Roof baby for 4.5 years, and she has been (and still is) awesome. She is 1991, and I got her with about 56,000 km, which I have about doubled by now. Still awesome condition and all, with wonderful and very regular care-taking by Butch of CVI. I noticed th...

Looking for a suggestion for a camping place
Two people, one Delica, one dog, and a few days mid-week at the end of July are looking for a camping spot in nature, somewhere in BC, not overly far from Vancouver (Vancouver island, Gulf islands, interior BC, etc). The dog needs to be near water in hot days, and doesn't care whether it is ocean, r...

Meager Creek Hotsprings (closed) and in the area
A week or so ago, I went there with two other friends, based on a recommendation in this forum (thank you: http://www.delica.ca/forum/meager-creek-hotsprings-duffy-lake-kayaking-back-5651.html). Meager Creek Hotsprings are closed, and the signs say it from the beginning of the road, just after Pembe...

Re: Scam Warning!
You should have sent him a couple of $250 dollar bills. LOL! Never thought of that. This poses a question... If you scam a scammer, has a scam really been committed... or do two negatives really make a positive? Hmmm.... :-D Or... ...do two wrongs make a right? As in RHD? :? A linguistics p...

Re: Sounds and feels strange (noise and vibration)
Started a couple of days ago... and continues... My Delica started sounding like a Harley Davidson (which might not be too bad... :-) yet I would love to know the reason). The noise is lower, with a bit more vibration to it, and especially when I accelerate. I think it is coming from the rear right...

Re: No brake lights... :-(
A week after I first got my L300 I lost the brake lights, turned out to be the switch itself on the brake pedal. look at the brake pedal and follow the arm up about 6 inches and you should see a round switch that it rests against until you press the pedal, there are 2 wires coming off of that can, ...

No brake lights... :-(
A few days ago, somebody at the traffic light knocked on my window and told me I have no brake lights at all. Very nice and kind of him to do that. So, I replaced both light bulbs. Asked a neighbour to look at the lights, cause somehow, I am not fast enough to press on the brake pedal and run look a...

AirCare time coming up - anything to be aware of?
So, the time for my first AirCare coming up, on my Delica Super Exceed 91. The car has been working fine, and Butch has been taking care of it regularly. Anything specific I need to be aware of, or know about, in preparation for?
Thanks,
Simon

Re: Re-charge A/C
flyfishn Best to find out why the recharge is needed. My low press switch leaked after a recharge last year and now the switch needs replaced and rechrged. Most delicas come from japan with little or no system pressure, apparently drained before shipping. See Steve Haase at KMS Tools Coquitlam or s...

Re: A little help?
Well, house-cleaning for cash is always an option. There are some that also offer this service through Craig's List; I do use some help in this area on occasion. And, hey, if she is willing to do a combo - clean the house AND the Delica... I am in...

Re: Re-charge A/C
I got turned on to Hans Radiator in Richmond by CVI Auto after a bit of excellent service work there. Spoke to them on the phone today and was ready to make an appointment until she asked the year of the Deli and when I said '91 she said a retrofit was most likely to be needed. On the phone quote f...

Re: Seiko Brown - Worlds best Canadian Camping dog
Today is an incredibly sad day for our family. We lost our big guy Seiko in the middle of the night, under a full moon - very fittingly. He wasn't sick, but he had a crappy day yesterday, and last night his breathing was very laboured. He spent most of the day yesterday in the kitchen, just drank a...
