Re: 1995 pajero rear coil springs
Im looking to purchase a new set of rear coil springs for lwb 4m40 to help with sagging when towing my travel trailer. Does anyone know if Montero rear coil springs fit on the pajero? Did any of you replace yours and where did you got them from? How do they perform? Thank you Vasi Montero springs a...

Re: New purchase..91 Pajero
Just got a new to me 91 Lwb 2.5 auto to replace my departed 95 and another 91... This new 91 has a 3 inch body lift and there is a problem with getting the drive selector to stay in 2 wheel HI, my first thought is that the body lift has caused a problem with the shift lever, could it be that becaus...

Re: Rear Door lock stuck... any ideas?
Most likely the handle is not quite releasing... Go around to the back, and pull the handle up and down... you may have to pull it back down. At a certain point in its down travel, the handle will probably feel loose. The spring mechanism that lets the handle come back down after you press it up wit...

Re: Rear Axle Leaking - 2.8l SWB
Hello everyone. I need some help. What was once just a leaking axle housing, has now become a cracked axle housing. Does this look weldable, or am I going to have to source a replacement housing. If so, anyone have any ideas where. I'm unsure of what montero stuff might fit. My truck is a 94 2800 w...

Re: Automatic Transmission Failing When Hot
Did you clean up the OD switch in your center console? If so my position is your tranny has an emerging mechanical issue. I believe BigBird has overstated my knowledge base on Pajeros...LOL. Be that as it may, I have some additional info I can provide. Given that you didn't follow up since February...

Re: the Pajero Evolution (aka PajEvo)
LOL... Pajero-owning friend has been told by wife that she loves "her truck" (03 Montero w/3.8) and so if I get a PajEvo, we will just have to go back to three vehicles again... Oh well... ;) This is a few years off for me, but I have been doing some research... The jalopnik article refere...

Re: Calgary Meet
All right! Looks like you'll have a Paj along as well! Can't let you delis have all the fun. Big Bird and I have spent many a fun day in Waiparous, but none so fun as winter time. Winter is the great equalizer, so we'll all be on a level playing field... Gear has been covered.. did anyone mention a ...

Re: Battery charger okay?
I have a C-tek charger, and have had very good results with it, from the truck, to the RV, to the bike. It has brought back a battery that I thought was done for. But these small chargers won't bring your truck up to start right away, if you leave your lights on overnight etc,. as you know. But they...

Re: facts
You sit there typing up a storm but have never even picked up a wrench... nevermind imported, then modified a vehicle to pass inspection. A search of your username shows that you are just a desktop mechanic with no credibility. Hmmm... If you post something that you claim to be true, be prepared to...

Re: L400 OBDII or EOBD compatible?
As far as I know, the L400 doesn't have a computer to connect to... These are good old fashioned diesels. Yup. And that's what's great about them. :) My 93 Paj has the OBD connector, so I hooked up the scan tool to it, just for fun, and the guage practically shrugged and went "huh?" No in...

Re: block heater
There are definately threads on block heater installs, on the passenger side rear frost plug hole... Sounds awkward, but doable. Well, I put a block heater in my 2.5 (4D56) Pajero, and definitely awkward. But I've yet to hear of anyone putting a block heater in a 4M40, which is what the original po...

Re: looking for block heater for 2.8L
Like I said, this is what the research told me, and a look at caps, after finding the right application for the CAT loader etc. This applies to Pajeros of course, but I'd love to find out that there was a way. Don't give up. This is how cross references are built for JDM vehicles - a brave soul prov...
