My apologies on the site downtime.
Disaster struck during a recent attempt forum software update (and of course this had to happen during an unusually busy time at work).
Hopefully all is well!

Site crashing?
We just ran into a few difficulties during the server migration, and had a lengthy (12 hour) unplanned downtime.
Now we have twice the memory resources, and therefore I am hopeful that we're back in the clear.
Thank you everybody for your patience over the past day or so.
Mark

Alas - no discount or any other perks (unless you count their offer to drill out the screw they overtorqued...)

Custom Rim Abuse, courtesy of KalTire
Last weekend I treated Sensei Wu (my L400) to a brand new set of Nokian WRG3s which I purchased a Kal Tire in North Vancouver. I’ve since driven about 150km (return trip to Whistler, plus some city driving), and had really been enjoying the tires… … until, that is, I returned to KalTire Saturday mor...

Hi Morgonzo - Your observation is right.
We have run up against server memory limits, which has caused the site to crash a few 2-3 times over the past three weeks or so.
I've contacted the hosting provider, and will be upgrading the account (which should resolve the issue).
Cheers,
Mark

Delica Trader Area Working Properly?
Thanks guys for the feedback on the new DT. I was doing a manual "spam-purge" daily - that strategy worked, but was abit too time consuming for me. I've since reconfigured DT so that new ads require the poster to configure by e-mail AND must be pre-approved before they actually appear on D...

Welcome to the forum Morgan! Furi raises a good point. With today's exchange rate:
$13,000USD × 1.31
= $17,000CDN
= One heck of a nice L300 + fully-funded family vacation to Vancouver

Re: Delica Trader Area Working Properly?
Thanks Larry -
I'm sure that with a new ads management system we'll encounter a few hiccups and potholes, but so far am optimistic that this will be an improvement over the old system.
Cheers!

Re: Delica Trader Area Working Properly?
Hi all - Delica Trader is now back up and running under a new platform (Open Classifieds). Unfortunately, I have not yet figured out how to import all of the photos linked to the older ads. (photos are clearly an important selling feature for any vehicle ad), but hope to have this fixed soon. New ad...

Re: Scheduled Server Downtime
Well - my original time estimate for completing the server migration was by noon on Friday. However, I ran into some DNS-related troubles, and so site access is only starting to return to normal now (and its Saturday evening)! Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this downtime, and hopefully we're ...
