Re: Kamloops Princess Auto Grand Opening Meet - 11am, 26 Feb 2011

Been 10 years since this post started and we had our BIG meet @ PA. I think it was the last real meet for the interior. Looking back @ the post I think only a couple @ most are still active on the site and most have moved on. I guess that may be progress. I thought maybe a 10 year anniversary meet m...

Re: Brake rotors / pads - where to get?

I think if you check in the L300 technical library in the "Suspension & Brakes" under 2 piston brake upgrade you may find out all the parts are compatible with the front brakes on an L400. I think the upgrade cost me about $250. Your on your own for the rear brakes.

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?

Well I got the pieces back from powder coating today. The sand blasting took it's toll on each of the pieces but enough is left to last for a few more years. I did check the usual foreign suppliers and a number of them have the 3 pieces. The parts work out to about $200 and the freight is $150 to $2...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

I have been doing a review over the holidays for possible sites to review this year. I have a total of 185 sites I could review and to date by my calculations I've done 88. I looked @ my pictures and other info on the sites and a maximum of 20 of the ones left may be worth doing. I also looked @ sit...

Re: L300 Stretch updates

Good to see your still at it Arnold. It sounds like a lot has changed over the 10 years you've been working on it. You are patient and persistent to keep on. We're cheering for you to complete it.

Rear Bumper Rust

In July 2014 I took off a rusted rear bumper and figured to solve the problem for good buy removing the rust and painting it with POR-15 the king of rust paints! I was looking for rust in other places this fall ( I hate rust ) and found the underside looked rusted again. After taking it apart this l...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

Dam - I was hoping you would make the couple little changes to your drawing to provide a clear picture of what to do. Your jumper on the relay was a great idea to make the wiring easier.

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

Nice drawings deskinthewoods. They are definitely easier to read than my scroll - however, you may wish to look @ the jumper you have on the switch. The connection you made puts the lights and new load in series instead of parallel. This would be a voltage divider and would not provide the 12V each ...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Darke lake is my last post for the year. It is a provincial park located about 25 km northwest of Summerland via a mostly paved road. It is referred to as a rustic site by the parks people and therefore has no fees and you can't reserve. The drive to site site is quite interesting starting with a dr...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

I would not worry about the extra contact - just remove it. I marked up your drawing to show how things work now and how you need to change them. They are done as jpg as I can't add pdf's for some reason. The first one with the orange marking shows how the circuit works now. Power comes from the ign...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

The drawing I have for the switch does not show the extra contact either. It must be something related to the defogger. I've attached a copy of the wire codes just incase you don't have it. The green is a signal which means it likely turns on something and as you say the black is ground. Your van mu...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

I think the way the circuit is drawn closing the switch provides a ground for the relay to complete the circuit. The power comes from the ignition switch. I've noticed that most of the wiring controls the ground for the circuit which is a bit unusual for NA vehicles and takes a while to get used to....
