Re: l300 petrol with no spark
I have a gasser. I have not had any spark issues though, so all I can give are some suggestions. As mentioned above, check wires, cap, rotor, plugs, fuses, etc. The label on the fan shroud indicates plugs should be replaced every 70K miles/100 Kilometers. Have you changed them? I found the cheap plu...

Re: Intermediate steering shaft replacement
Update: I installed the replacement shaft on Saturday and the steering works again. :-D I got an entire column, but ended up just changing the shaft out. The lower plastic cover on mine is skewed slightly to the left. The RHD only is slightly to the right. Replacing just that part required completel...

Re: RHD Article
All I can say is: wow.
I thought that sort of thing was reserved for Americans.
Where did those crash numbers come from? They must come from the same place the NHTSA get's their information. I guess that must be why I can't get a Delica for a few more years.

Re: Intermediate steering shaft replacement
I have been to several parts stores, but they don't have anything. I can get drive line u-joints, but nothing this small. The joints aren't designed to be serviced. It may be possible to drill the caps out and machine a lips for a snap ring, but I don't thing there is enough material thickens in the...

Re: Intermediate steering shaft replacement
The plot thickens. I just got a call from the dealer now telling me the part is discontinued. Thanks for the corrected link. I see ccauto has a complete column listed. As long as the part I need is the same I should be all set. I will be emailing shortly. The intermediate shaft is the part the goes ...

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately the site seems to be down.
Surprisingly I was able to order the part from the dealer this morning.

Intermediate steering shaft replacement
The lower universal joint in the intermediate steering shaft that goes in to the steering box has seized. Does anyone know if the LHD and RHD use the same shaft? Also, is it same as a Montero/Pajero? The parts sites list it under wagon, but the listing only shows Montero when you click on it and the...

Re: leaking radiator coolant
Definitely change the water pump and all the bit under the timing cover. Be sure to clean the everything well as it probably has coolant on it. Good time to change the accessory belts as well. I didn't change the pump in time and the bearing failed causing the shaft for fall, busting the fan and bre...

Thanks. My analogize for the miss posting. I posted this is a fit is rage without looking around the forum first.
I see some others have asked the same questions. I think I am on the right track.
Just 5-10 more years and I will be able to bring a JDM delica in to the state :)

Rear window wanted
Does any one have a rear sliding window assembly for sale? This is for the window closest to the rear hatch on the opposite side from the sliding door. I need the glass more then the frame. Here is the hard part, mine is a 89 US spec LHD, so I am worried the frame and glass may be different then the...

Re: rear climate questions
You could seal it with closed cell marine foam. It is used to seal hatches. I found some at a hardware store in a roll for sealing windows. That looks slightly different the mine (Mine is covered in underbody coating though). Do you have air conditioning? Those clips may be for retaining the refrige...
