1992 Exceed Crystal: running - parts - in victoria. Offers.
229450_8461500421_7627_n.jpg My '91 crystal exceed requires too much work so moving on e.g. brakes, tires, AC, tie rods, timing belt, blah, blah, blah. Might be of some value to you though? The transmission was rebuilt three years ago. It's got 16" aluminum wheels, stainless exhaust, a funky b...

Re: how to build in relays and DRL?
Yes, i was looking at the various led set ups. Pretty cool and low load. But i'd prefer more lumens. Thanks.

Re: how to build in relays and DRL?
Add: I suppose you could add a second relay in the DRL circuit which could then draw juice direct from battery for some extra oomph if desired. But let's face it, these lights are shit at the best of times. Yes, easy enough to run a relay triggered by the light switch but this doesn't address the wi...

Re: how to build in relays and DRL?
Yes, easy enough to run a relay triggered by the light switch but this doesn't address the wish for a DRL. Seems to me the way is to install a relay in the light circuit upstream of the DRL which leave the DRL powered by the ignition but the relay kicks in when switched at the column. I think this w...

Re: how to build in relays and DRL?
Although, I don't quite understand how the e-brake circuit fits into this?

Re: how to build in relays and DRL?
Thanks for this. Too complex and time consuming i'm afraid. I may just go with a decent set of auxiliary lights triggered by ignition (I like the parking brake shut off though). Regards. My solution wasn't that simple, but it does remove any load from the headlight switch, because the DRLs are entir...

how to build in relays and DRL?
OK, i know there is tonnes of info on this theme - a daily issue eally - but as a simple man I seek a simple answer - can someone point me to how to incorporate a headlight relay with DRL? I want to reduce the low beam load on the combo switch and retain a functional DRL set up. Can be reached at to...

Re: interior lights
I've bought a couple now through home depot. They are not exotic. I can't remember the specs offhand. Take it out and take it around to the hardware stores and you'll find something close (as I recall the HD ones were a tch longer, but didn't take much to make them fit).

Adjusting Souwest headlights
I can't seem to get my lights to adjust horizontally. I've heard these adjusters sometimes get stripped so perhaps that the problem. They are toed-in a bit too much.

Re: Here's how to replace front headlight bulbs
I think the amperage draw from those bulbs is within the tolerance of the wiring. Albeit, I think it's on the upper end of capacity though. The stock relay is still in place so the switch is not bearing any increased demand. Or am I missing something?

Re: Help, not starting! - Alternator
To throw a couple of cents at this although the thread is a little stale now: I just had an alternator repair at Mac Auto Electric in Victoria this week. Good service, quick turn around. The repair component - regulator, bearings etc. came in at 200 bucks before taxes and misc. Compare this to 150 (...

These just bolt on? To existing holes? or do they need professional installation? They don't interfere with the spare tire?

Re: Here's how to replace front headlight bulbs
I was going to go with a set of driving lights 'cause I'm tired of these anemic lights, however I've gone with the 100w swap as well - following the lead of the folks in Coombs. Time will tell if it's a problematic "solution". I can confirm that aiming is not the issue. There simply is not...

Re: L300 1991 side step needed
Thanks all. CCA has one for a reasonable price. I think I'll go w it. (perhaps I can find something creative to do with the old step deck.)

Re: L300 1991 side step needed
Could be repaired by replacing all struts with new. But I think it would cost more than a replacement as I don't have the welding and fabrication tools and materials.
