Re: Re-charge A/C
Ok heres a stupid question was the compressor clutch engaged (running the compressor) when the photo was taken?... If it was engaged and the system was running then I would say that there is either way too much refrigerant in there or one or both of the TX valves (thermal expansion) at the evaporat...

Re: Re-charge A/C
The sight glass is under the rubber gromet under the rug of the passenger side footwell. Roll the carpet back from the front and you will see it. I have attached a couple photo's. Andy my friend, that is why a picture is worth a thousand word! I looked everywhere, except there of course. Found it i...

Re: Re-charge A/C
I was really just doing a pre-recharge test to see where pressure was at. So, that picture was pressure while engine was OFF.Mephisto wrote:Aren't you supposed to check the pressure of the system while it is running?

Re: Re-charge A/C
Using the good advise so far from people like Andy (modsquad), I'm getting through the trouble shooting of my AC. I have NOT yet recharged the AC with the RedTek. I figured best to do some troubleshooting to figure the problem first - which proved a good decision, now need a bit more help on what I ...

Re: Re-charge A/C
Ok, I think I answered my own question #3 above about where ports are. I went back and looked closer at "after oils" comments about it and sure enough, they were where he said. Here's a couple of photos that may help...

Re: Re-charge A/C
Three questions: 1) I visited http://www.REDTEK.com to watch the Installation Video and one thing they mention is to completely empty the old coolant from the system (by someone qualified) before recharging. Has anyone done this and how? 2)The video mentions the need to know how much refrigerant you...

Re: Difference in models between year?
Thanks guys. The details given here where nice to have when shopping. I looked around and compared and bought a 1990 Chamonix. It's in great shape - very happy. (only, the AC isn't working and holy crap it's hot out there the last two days. Gonna search the forum for info about AC recharge etc).

Ya, I searched through FAQ and didn't find anything. Want to know things like differences in motor, body, trans, etc, if any.

Difference in models between year?
I've diligently looked for info about this on the form with little luck. (I'm a noobie so, moderator feel free to move topic if needed or point me to the right place). What are the main differences in models between year? I'm looking at L300 models in years 90 - 93. Are there significant differences...

Burning a hole
I've got money burnin' a hole in my pocket and I'm shopping for a Delica! I figured I'd be responsible and come visit the forum and educate myself. I'm not going to say no to any good advise any may have ; ) The one big question I have right away is what are the differences in the vehicle, if any, b...
