One thing I forgot to mention, the Pintle latch wont lock down with the 2 and 5/16" ball. It only locks down with the 2" ball.

A friend had suggested that, but the tire wells are so small, bigger tires would likely rub...thanks anyway.

Has anyone ever bought the dash kits from ebay? They look interesting, I assume the montero kit from the appropriate year would fit the pajero?

My shifter looks kinda tired too, anyone know where to get a shifter replacement?

My concern about welding it on is in the inspection standards welding to the frame is a big no no (from my understanding). It has to be certified if you want to weld to frame technically (problem is someone could fail you down the road on an inspection if they wanted too) That's the reason I rememb...

Hmm, thanks. The 6.5 energy speakers I was trying to fit just couldn't be jammed into the 5" brackets. I bought some adaptors but they didnt fit the bolt pattern of the door or the new speakers. I took a jigsaw and cut the existing brackets out to fit the new speakers and reinstalled...actually...
