If you ever need a garage companion to look at things and go "Hmm" but offer up no actually useful advice, give me a call.

Re: Defeating "Door Ajar" light while camping
Key-out was the first thing we tried... but light still stays on. It glows in the night when we open the door for ventilation. We will definitely "fix" this when we get back... Our next stop will be for 4 1/2 days without moving, hopefully the battery will be ok. We're still looking for a ...

Re: Defeating "Door Ajar" light while camping
It is the little dash light that I am talking about, and it stays on without my key in the ignition.
I cannot find a pressure switch, so assume it is the contacts on the door itself that close the circuit.
Dual battery will happen soon, but not this trip.
Is there a fuse I could pull?

Defeating "Door Ajar" light while camping
...In the middle of first camping trip with "new" L300!!!
But we leave the sliding door open a lot and I'm worried about the battery.
Any quick on-the-road suggestions?

L300 Seat Bolts
I have the two captain's chairs out of the van, but I'm left with four bolts stickinf about 3/4 inch up from the floor... They seem to be welded into the rails.
Is there a way to remove the slide rails in order to have a flat floor?

Re: Thanks for the help!
I second the recommend for OK Tire on 8th. I just had my inspection on Friday, and knowing Mardy's work, you should have no problems at all.

Re: Defrost Control
I can get to the console end of the cable, and perhaps unclip it, but I'm assuming it is the actuator/airbox end of it that may be the trouble. Does anyone know what side of the dash I might find the valve/actuator that routes the air to the defrost vents? I'm hoping it is maybe behind the glovebox ...

Re: Defrost Control
The cable disappeared into the dark abyss of the dash workings, or I would have done exactly that... I'll figure out how to take it apart sooner or later.... *begin obscure Red Dwarf reference for the sole benefit of Mr Flibble* I was also considering flying on a magic carpet to visit the king of th...

Re: Saskatoon's 5th L300 has Arrived!
I thought I was running out of time on my permit, so I went to the only place I could get it done the next day. I should have gone to OK tire on 8th. I'm almost wondering if it would be worth it to re-do the inspection over there (an extra $110) than do all this lighting work (rear reflectors must s...

Re: Defrost Control
I have the panel off, and it does look like the cable will not push it's way back into it's sleeve. Is there a more likely place that the cable will tend to kink, or will I have to perform a full dash disassembly? This is terrible timing for us, as we want to go camping for the first time in our new...

I do have the proper E-code stamp.
I do not have a DOT or CSA, which is what they seem to need.

Re: Saskatoon's 5th L300 has Arrived!
Hey Tinytoy, Apparently Steve is no longer over at OK Tire on 8th. But thanks for the tip. I might end up going there anyway. The Kal Tire experience was terrible, as they have problems with every single light on the van. Also, I guess I find myself in need of any sort of advice to make this Saskatc...
