Defrost Control

Another issue that has come up on my safety inspection is that the slider control for the interior environment controls will not slide all the way into defrost. It feels like there is some sort of obstruction. Is this a common problem? Is there an easy way to pop off the panel and take a look at it?

Replace all Headlights/Taillights for Safety???

I'm trying to get our L300 safety inspected for Saskatchewan, and they are telling me that neither the headlights or taillights are DOT / CSA approved. This isn't an aiming issue, but rather a "quality of materials" issue. I am now told that I must replace all the headlights and tail light...

Re: Saskatoon's 5th L300 has Arrived!

That is what I am hoping... It passed BC inspection a few days ago. Although when I dropped it off this morning, they called out the manager and he gave me a bit of a speech about how RHD vehicles get "special treatment" during inspections... almost three extra pages worth of checks. He sa...

Re: Saskatoon's 5th L300 has Arrived!

OK on 8th.... Thanks for the tip. My Temporary ICBC Insurance runs out today, so I booked it at the first place that would take it this morning. Turns out that it was the Kal Tire on Faithful Ave. so we'll see how it goes (fingers crossed). My wife drove it around a bit last night. She loves it too....

Saskatoon's 5th L300 has Arrived!

An amazing L300 from Amazing Auto Imports! Black over White Exceed, crystal lite roof with white bars, LED running lights, trailer hitch and a ladder. In absolutely incredible condition. I cannot say enough good things about Mardy at AAI. He threw in many "freebies": Monsoon guards, wiper ...

Re: VANCOUVER-CALGARY road trip- advice?

..and this is yet another reason this forum/club/community is so awesome. I was about to post almost exactly the same questions about almost exactly the same road trip; and then here is a thread with most of my questions, already answered! I'm (hopefully) starting out on Saturday, June 19th (one day...

No, Sorry.

But I have borrowed my brother's silver truck at least twice this year....

Re: Waved and 'Signed' in Saskatoon

So I'm in a work van, and I see a Delica out on 8th Street. (Saskatoon) (Saskatchewan). Seeing a Delica is a rare thing here. I've only seen four distinct examples, and this one is pretty far away. I get a bit closer, and I see a Delica.ca decal on the back. As It turns on to the freeway, I follow. ...

Re: Spotted in Saskatoon

We're in Saskatoon.

We aren't officially owners yet, but we've put down a deposit and the search is on...

We are expecting "suggestion" photos any day now.

It's quite exciting.

Re: The Adventure Begins?

Thanks, All,

I have had many doubts about getting one of these Delicas, but the helpfulness and information provided by this community has been absolutely invaluable.

Thanks again, and I'll keep up the search!

Re: The Adventure Begins?

Our "shopping list" is nearly complete!

After much research, we have so far decided on a high-roof, crystal lite, with AC and at least a 4 speaker stereo.
Dark in colour, with hopefully less that 100,000 kms. Ladder would be nice.

I guess the actual "shopping" comes next!

1990-1993 L300 Stereo systems

Hi, I was wondering what types of speaker setups come with the various trim levels on the 1990-1993 L300s. I have seen some pictures with high mounted rear speakers, and some without, and was wondering what the factory setups were; specifically with the high-roof crystal-lite configuration. Thanks, JJ

Indications the Timing belt/Balancing belt have been changed

Are there any indicators/markings one can look for to see if and when the last time this was done? Either on this side of the ocean or the other? (I've tried searching the forums, but, as you can imagine, the words "indication" "replaced" and "timing belt" turn up an aw...

Re: The Adventure Begins?

Best case scenario would be High roof/Crystal Lite + sunroof, but I'm sure we'll know the right one when it comes along.....
