Free L300 bumper plastic center parts
I'm cleaning out my garage and I've got all of the plastic stuff from the center of my bumper up for grabs. I removed it a while ago and I'm finally getting around to getting rid of it. It's in decent shape, faded, but none of it's broken and it's all there. I have most of the fasteners, but they're...

Re: Dash Lights / Wiring / Logic
Ya, mine were intermittent, then they crapped out entirely, then about a week later they came on again and worked great for about a month, then REALLY dead. Stupid switch...

Re: Speed test
Fastest I've driven - 220kph as my BMW had the electronic limiter still engaged.
Fastest as a passenger - 270'ish in a highly modified FD RX7.

Re: Dash Lights / Wiring / Logic
Mine did that and it was the infamous triple switch (turn signal, headlight, highbeam lever) to blame. You may want to try that before you go testing all those contacts, they seem to fail all the time AND, there's a handy dandy new repair writeup with pictures (thank you Falco!) http://www.delica.ca...

Just adding a few pics to show what I mean about the DRL install. Kinda added the pictures in the reverse order of what I had intended... whoops.

Re: Silk Road Warning
I bought my L300 from Silk Road and I had a so-so experience. I don't think they're scam artists or out to rip people off, but they don't do the most thorough job of refurbishing the vehicles they sell. I also don't think they're as picky about the vehicles they purchase back in Japan, not like anot...

Re: Goofy Autometer EGT Probe Mount
WOAH, that looks hokey??? Is that from the actual Autometer website? "steel band clamp method!?!?!?!" I've never seen that before, that just screams "I'm going to blow out and shoot exhaust gas out and light your engine bay on fire". If your probe (J type thermocouple) came with ...

Re: Delicat's new ride! Nissan Safari
Those drop boxes turned out great! Sorry I didn't get back to you on the welding, my work got crazy out of hand lately. Not a problem anymore, the company went out of business on Thursday (meh, more time to work on my van).

Re: Stave lake fun
last trip to Stave I broke the battery (plate separated inside, cheap recycled pos that came with my van when I bought it). I was stumbling through the bush with my flashlight looking for someone to jump me in the dark while my wife, kids, family friends and 2 dogs had a nice dinner around the colem...

the only positive thing about her now knowing is I'm no longer in a rush to hide the evidence by cleaning it up.
