Re: A long overdue thank you to Tardisdeli

They are indeed in a category by themselves and we will certainly plan better if we head down to the coast again. It would be fun to meet a few of you DeliFolks at a mini meet. :-D

A long overdue thank you to Tardisdeli

Hi All We just wanted to give a big public thank you to Christine and Jay who helped us out and provided accommodations during a road trip this past fall. We are from Whitehorse but at the time were on a 3-month road trip with our new (to us) Deli and our new baby. We went through Vancouver for a De...

Re: Starting @ -25. It is possible....

It was way cheaper for us to order it from Germany as Espar (Eberspächer) is from there. Look on ebay.de Thanks - I have taken a look and they seem MUCH cheaper there. Depending on the cost of shipping, I will consider that source (although I will need to both enlist the assistance of a German frie...

Re: Starting @ -25. It is possible....

Okay - thanks for the summary. I am pricing them out and see that they seem to start at about $1000. Is that right or are there better sourcing options? Also, I thought that they not only heat your coolant in the engine but deliver heat to the cab of the vehicle as well. Is that not true, and if so ...

Re: Starting @ -25. It is possible....

Well - at this point, the basics like how complicated is it? How complicated is it to tap into the fuel tank/line? What are the other, main connections that need to be made? How much time do you think it will take you? And a few other things like that. Which one did you get, the D5 Hydronic? Thanks ...

Hey Gang - We are in Whitehorse and were planning on posting our winter experiences with "Foxy" once we get through this winter - your discussion motivated me to weigh in a bit early. The quick version is that we do not find battery to be and issue it is more about having a warm block. Whe...

Re: How to change Power Steering Belt

Okay - I figured it out. (This is for my L300 Starwagon Exceed 4D56 - aka "Foxy")) 1 - Remove the fan shroud (at least the two top covers). 2 - Use a small mirror or just reach in to find the four 10mm bolts that hold the fan to the shaft 3 - Use a small ratchet wrench to remove the fan 4 ...

How to change Power Steering Belt

Hi Folks I am relatively new here and have so far greatly appreciated all the information and connections available through this site. I know that my subject line is an easy job but despite being quite mechanically inclined I have not worked on cars much. Also I have searched extensively though this...

Re: Insurance questions - arghh!

Thanks folks - what about collision and comprehensive? One company told me that they would only insure for liability. Does ICBC (not an option for me) insure for comprehensive or collision? What about other companies for those of us outside BC? I have heard that Meloche-Monnex is good? Thanks again ...

Insurance questions - arghh!

Hi Delica owners We are currently shopping to buy a Delica and could pose MANY questions to you folks about Delicas but right now insurance is the thing that is frustrating us. I am basically ready to buy and plan to fly to Vancouver, buy a Deli and drive it home (to Yukon) all in 4 days! My problem...
