Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Cheers Larry,

Been waiting to see whom else replies, I, for one, enjoy your reports. Started fishing the region in the mid 80s and only stop on the last 4-5 years. It's great to see the current state of old fishing spots!!!

Re: Ahhhhh!!!

With several parts needed, do you have time, and space, to locate a Delica with a blown head gasket to part out? I see you're from Ontario, but the west coast has many a long parked Delica sadly sitting. Walking yesterday evening in Cumberland I counted half dozen L300 looking like they haven't run ...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Thanks for keeping this active Larry!! Did explore the Maury Lakes many a year ago, but we never fished it, and that was before the Delica days. Still sticking to the Island this year, hiking most weekends and many a weekday! Cheers, Tahsis north bound Tahsis.jpg Side Bay-Port Alice-Lawn Point SideB...

JB500 camper body on L300 truck chassis build

It will be pretty neat to work on an L300 with a truck frame. It's been a while. Wonder how many old timers are still on here ? :-D Older post, do you still have you Delica motorhome Jesse? Does being a Grandpa of 3 make me an old timer? Oh, I still have 2 JDM's at home, my Surf I've had since the ...

Hi James, I'll offer up my recent experiences. Recently Canadian inspections are more regulated, your vehicle inspection office will have to document and submit pictures of all the lights on your self imported Delica. If something isn't E code this may prove difficult, and require some custom modifi...

Vancouver brokerage for importing my Delica

Hi Chris, $2000 doesn't sound unreasonable. It is approximately $1300 for roro from Japan to the Vancouver Port, and they are already bringing an awful lot of cars over already. Heck co-workers were paying your amount to have their vehicle securely shipped from Vancouver to Ontario just for the peri...

Locate the Recreation Site

Thank you for the continued reports; Horn Lake brings up great memories for this born in Bella Coola boy, as my Father took us to the Valley every summer where 90% of the 2 weeks or so of visiting was spent fishing somewhere. I was up that way this past September, and even with my stupid travel sche...

Elon Musk

His comments at being refuted during the Tham Luang cave rescue suggested a monster ego, board line megalomaniac, and was surprising.

Nasty words directed at someone putting their lives on the line to save the lives of the youngsters because they didn't want your idea? Wow

Hi Larry, I know the Delica.ca creator Mark still posts! Wonder also where these guys are? JesseF took a little unnecessary abuse here and stop contributing, which is always a shame when an active contributor is done with a forum. I live in Courtenay now and likely forever. Was certain this summer I...

Dark green L300 Ottawa/Gatineau

Lucky spotting!! I have been working more than half my time in Southern Ontario this past year, exploring the area by bike, and have yet to see a Delica. I'm on route to Ottawa in 3 hours, so if you see a dirty BMW with the rider waving frantically you now know who it is!

Cheers

Wet Floor In Cab Area

Hi.

Did you remove that body front panel also, that common source of wet floors in L300's, described here -http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.ph ... &p=118571&

Once upon a time did this to many L300's!

hello from mexico (via vancouver, bc)

Lovely pictures - and a fantastic Slogan - from a grandpa of three who's last trips on the Dempster in 2016 & 2017 were by motorcycle. I 2 will be old later.

But a rig like that has me wanting to go Vanping again!!!

Cheers

Well #1 picture is dealt with. I'd like to know if #3 is in Quebec? Good to see some guesses Kevin! The first one was easy for anyone who has been there. HMCS Ojibwa Disappointed. Today was to tour the first city pictured with several resident motorcycle photographers, but that was cancelled due to...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

We went out on a spur of the moment out to the lighthouse for a night than back quickly to San Joe for a couple of nights recovery from the big walk in/out. Growing up on the island our family would drive up, float all our gear down the creek and camp for a week on the beach - in the 70's we spent d...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

The beach is San Josef Bay, thanks to its remoteness it is a real treat to visit.
