Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Sorry to hear that also, Larry, I am sure some fish will still be around when you're comfortable with the tank in the field. I have heard has slowed down suddenly in the Caribou. My brother in law is headed up to Bridge Lake this Friday, nowadays, he only fishes Bridge and Sheridan. After reading th...

I, for one, am curious how the fishing has been for Larry!

Re: Updated importation process
Hello!
Also curious, my last imports were the beginning of 2020.
Shipping costs have increased, but the Yen has been holding steady around 0.010 for the last year. The 0.013 rate early 2020 was noticeable, just happened to hit it's peak the day paying for the more expensive of the 2 vehicles.

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
"The Knack", yes that is a classic reference. More so since covid, and increased traffic in the so-called popular places in our beautiful wilderness, we work hard at finding hikes and trips that where there are few people. Sometimes they take some time to get to, others are quicker as a re...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Seeing Larrys offer to help thought I'd share a site I like;
Dixie Cove is a short paddle from Fair Harbour, always no one around and a great starting point for trip to Rugged Point or longer trips to Brooks Peninsula.

Re: Site Crap
Hi Larry, that would likely be most helpful! I may have the ability to do such a change, but it's been many many years since I have done so, well over a decade!
I check when I log in, someone else does it, apparently more frequently than I do.
Cheers,
Kevin

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Little Bear Bay, I have camped here since I was a kid, a great central small spot on the Island, with great fishing in Johnstone strait. We caught several nice Greenling and rock cod just casting from the rocks this past weekend, including an undersized wild Coho, it was about 4lbs and was released....

Re: Delica Auction Imported, Next Steps...
I've heard about JDM connections, I've done a similar service for people in the past, for a fee arranging everything. They would use an experience vehicle brokerage firm. Courtney Agencies quickly arranged deliver of a KIA truck last year. Just looked in my email, it was $627 for that delivery on a ...

Re: Delica Auction Imported, Next Steps...
Are you familiar with the scheduling and pickup routine at the dock? It's well posted and explained nowadays. I've used Courtney Agencies for almost 30 years for vehicle brokerage fees, they can also prepay the dock fees. Your import agent in Japan can forward needed e-docs to your brokerage agent. ...

Cheers Larry,
Been waiting to see whom else replies, I, for one, enjoy your reports. Started fishing the region in the mid 80s and only stop on the last 4-5 years. It's great to see the current state of old fishing spots!!!
Pictured is Lake Helen Mackenzie yesterday

Re: Ahhhhh!!!
With several parts needed, do you have time, and space, to locate a Delica with a blown head gasket to part out? I see you're from Ontario, but the west coast has many a long parked Delica sadly sitting. Walking yesterday evening in Cumberland I counted half dozen L300 looking like they haven't run ...
