Re: Retrofit HID
I have a basic HID kit in my van, they're fantastic but I'm not sure how DOT legal they are.

Re: block heater
I've got a stick on oil pan heater. It's been on there for a few years and it works great for me in Ontario. I had to put it up the side of the pan instead of the bottom but it starts like a hot summers day when I use it.

Re: L400 heater are re&re advice
Weird that my pictures didn't link properly, they show up fine on Tapatalk... Anyways, yea it was a hassle!!! Trying to lift the dash with my shoulder while using both hands to pull it forward and down. The thick wire bundle that runs behind that metal bar gave me trouble. Once I got that out of the...

Re: L400 heater are re&re advice
Oh my goodness.... That sounds awful. Out of all that I've taken everything out before except the side trim pieces under the triangle windows and the speakers. Any special tricks to those? Is there anything specific that needs to come undone to tilt the dash or does everything else hold it in? Does ...

L400 heater are re&re advice
Hey all, So I'm finally going to tackle the heater core replacement. Anyone have some advice before I get to it? I have read that it's doable from under the dash after removing the glove compartment, all its supports, the heater fan, moving some AC ducting and then the core is there. I would rather ...

Re: Where is this oil coming from?
Pictures resized - Valve cover gasket came in, gonna switch that up this week hopefully. The trans seal, annoyingly I guess I'll have to drop the pan and reapply some RTV. Transmission fluid is a little pricey eh??? From what I've seen the fluid needs to meet SP3, right? Which everything I looked at...

Re: Where is this oil coming from?
Engine was running, good to know it's not too low though. Yeah that's the trans bottom. I had the fluid replaced a couple years ago, guess their gasket didn't hold up. For the oil, I don't think it's the head gasket, I don't really ever use or burn fluids. These drips are small enough that there's n...

Re: Where is this oil coming from?
Hmmmm, I see my pictures aren't showing up. i'll try and change that.
Anyone suppose that rear half moon gasket could cause a mess of oil? I've noticed a bit of oil on the steering boot for a while now. Maybe it's time to replace those?
