-28'C yesterday...and today -24...
Yesterday morning,no problem,it start and run,rough,but good.
But yesterday evening at job....enough is enough.Start but don't run.Battery went down.Boost it with the help of
two other workmates trucks and it finally run.

I hate cold...

You can aslo try to give advance on the fuel pump timing.That will compensate the wear of the cam plate but will not do anything for the pressure. Give advance on the timing and you will see a difference.The timing on our truck is 7 degrees,try for 5 degrees,like on 4d55,or even lower,until you noti...

Check pressure of the fuel pump.You need good pressure,mainly on cold start. I've just put a new rebuild fuel pump on my Strada.They changed rotor head,cam plate, tune it and it is like a new truck.Absolutly no chugging,cough or anything wrong.Fuel economy is better. I know it's a Strada but for now i think that my 4d56 head is ok.

Remove the switch,gently broke the black plastic and you will see where the two wires are
soldered.replace the wire witn new one,solder it and glue it with hot glue gun.

Sure,it's not a new switch but it will work again like a new.

Not exacly the same turbo but the manifold and gasket are the same:Ford Ranger 1986-1987 2.3 turbo-diesel(4d55) Dodge Ram 50 1983-1985 turbo-diesel 2.3(4d55) Mitsubishi Mighty Max 1983-1985 2.3 TD (4d55) Not really hard to find.Any good autoparts store.

For the oil cap,check for Hyundai between 1986-2000 and many chrysler with Mitsubishi engine
from the same era.Better,any Mitsubishi car in USA.

And it really sound like a crack in the exhaust manifold or a bad exhaust manifold gasket.

You can start by checking the thermostat or better,replace it,use a 76.5'C. .Secundo,maybe the radiator?And what about the water pump?
If all those things are ok,maybe the clutch fan is not working properly.The fan is a really important factor to keep the temperature cool.
