1990 L300 auto free hub lockring install.

Hey all, this job is my last "to do" of 2013 so I hope I can get it resolved here. So when you unscrew the Auto free hub cap on your front wheel you will see a splined shaft about 1.5" in diameter. On the end of this drive shaft is a lockring. My lockring came off somehow and I tried ...

Re: Reliable Delica won't turn over now.

Thanks for the reply's it started after trying it half a dozen times. Weird since it wasn't cranking at all then it just fired up. I really hope this was just a one time thing but I cleaned the battery terminals anyway. I'm sure an alternator/battery replacement is in my future as I continue my rest...

L300 automatic slow shifting, kick down cable?

Hey all, I'm loving my van and the help I've been receiving on this forum. My next issue is when I'm driving the van seems to wanna climb in revs and won't shift till I let off the gas a bit. Its an automatic transmission. I'm mostly noticing this going from 2nd-3rd when I'm on a slight grade. Chris...

Re: Alternator belt stretch and tension

Rattlenbang, thanks.

Well my first costly error. I guess I'll have 2 alternator belts for emergencies.

What part # did you use by chance?

Alternator belt stretch and tension

Hey all, I recently did an alternator belt replacement, everything seemed to be running smooth. Bad squeak was gone and I felt like I was good to go. I only put about 50km of driving in before I checked the belts, reason being I heard a little squeak starting. The alternator belts had so much slack ...

Anyone ever clean and re-line diesel gas tank?

I've used the POR-15 fuel tank sealing kit when I was restoring my motorcycle and it worked wonders.

But how bad is the inside of our Delica diesel tanks?

So I'll be replacing my fuel filter but am thinking about doing a tank clean and re-line. Any thoughts?

Cheers

1990 L300 swing arm bushing?

Hey all, I've got a bad clunk in the front end and I'm sure its associated with this: http://i734.photobucket.com/albums/ww349/nagasawamike/photo1_zpsbc4b4e10.jpg You can see the bolt separation and I can literally shake this piece. Worn same on both sides. I'm trying to find the OEM part # but I do...

Re: Mulling about purchasing this van, any advice would be g

Thanks for the help all! I took the van to CVI for a pre purchase inspection. It needs a bit of work but I'm happy I can do most of it on my own. I'm going to buy it for a fair price that reflects the work that needs to be done. The van has some flaws but I'm glad I can have something to drive while...

Hello from Vancouver

Long time lover of these vehicles. I'm not a proud owner of one yet... I like to do my research on a vehicle before taking over the keys, thats why I'm here!
