TieMyShoe's Grinded Cam
I ended up getting ahold of one of TieMyShoes Grinded cams, so I thought I would post my thoughts on it after driving with it a while. It feels like my van doesn't bog down as much going up hills or trying to accelerate at highway speeds. Usually I feel a large dropoff in power once it goes past 300...

Spare Tire Lowering Bolt
Mine was broken, so I had the tire carrier strapped up to the body somewhere. Found a bolt at Canadian tire and crudely welded a nut onto it (tried not to breathe toxic smoke). Used threaded rod for the bolt part. I still have it strapped up as a fail safe. Does anyone see anything wrong with this? ...

Dual piston brake upgrade long brake lines
When I have a moment I'll check mine as I did not cover mine with anything. How do the brakes feel? Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk Spongy as usual but a noticeably quicker response to stopping. Pads haven't bedded either so hopefully it gets better. I'll have to bleed them again and mayb...

Really loud exhaust, looks like something fell off.
Once I installed a boost gauge I discovered my waste gate was stuck open. I did not have any adjusting mechanism so I just took some vice grips and made then bends a bit sharper to shorten the rod. Instantly better performance ha.

Heat it up with a torch? Hopefully someone else knows if it's ok to do that without messing anything up.

Your EGT installation
I also have an auber gauge (rectangular ones though and I opted for the longer wire, although I don't know if it was necessary. If you have an EGR blanking plate, it is quite easy to just drill and tap it for the thermocoupler. Then just hook it up to the gauge and add power to the gauge and you are...

L300 - Parts Van 1992 - YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE ENTIRE VAN
I have a non-running '92 L300 superexceed which has been rotting/molding away due to an effed up roof. (It was running before I parked it a few years ago). I need it gone as my parents don't appreciate it being there. I don't want to trash it because there are parts people will probably need and the...

Yes on the IP. Just be careful not to adjust so much that it lugs and sends your EGT's up.

Side Exit Exhaust L300
I'm about to do this job. Is the exhaust flange just sitting flush against the turbo mount? I ordered 2 flanges just incase I have to use one as a spacer. Cheers Yes it is flush. I did not put in a gasket either and doesn't seem to be leaking. I should add that I got dinged with FedEx charges after...

It sounds like you're on the right path to longer Delica life. I'm gonna wager a bet that between the two, you solve your problem. :-) As far as EGT gauges go, i'm looking at this one...it's highly recommended by the IDI guys. http://thesensorconnection.com/egt-probes/meter-kits/egt-probe-kit-race-...
