Re: Converted - Pajero -> Delica

How tall is your underground parkade? With a 3"-4" lift, that'll put your Delica at about 7'3". (mine sits at about 6'11" without a lift) Delica will not be in the underground parkade. We sold out condo and the Pajero over the weekend. It's all part of the plan for our trip late...

Re: 2 fuel tanks in my Delica?

Wow, that site is ridiculous. So much info and pictures on anything you'd want to know about doing that sort of thing, thanks for the link. We don't plan on departing until oct/november of '08 and taking 6 or 7 months to loop around and basically be the dirtbags that we are. Should be good. I did s...

Re: Tire Reviews

I'm fortunate to have a long time friend who owns a tire shop down in WA. I've tried out almost every tire I can think of in the past few years. I've tried out the Firestone Destination M/T's on my Jeep and didn't like them. The compound is very soft and wears quickly. The lugs ended up cupping fair...

Delicanadabc wrote:The cost from Courtney should be close to $250.00 Per bill of lading.
Does that include destuffing, etc.. ?

I've only imported via RORO in the past. 1st timer with a container shipment.

Thanks

Re: Good mechanics in the Lower mainland Abbotsford area

What kind of squeek is it ?

Metal against metal or a spring/shock sounding squeek ?

Could be just rusty/old shocks/suspension.

Issues with IBC and RORO container

Well, The Paj is sold to a nice fellow from the interior. In the meantime, my Delica is on it's way. :-D Things are good. Here's a list of what I'll be doing to it as soon as it lands : For the inspection: Raybestos brakes (twin piston) all around DRL's / bulbs, etc... The week after the inspection:...

Re: Delicas pulling to the right?

If it's not the alignment, check the brakes.

Seized caliper, air in lines, etc.. can have that same effect of pulling to one side or another.

Re: I want LSD!

I prefer manual hubs (superwinch) but they are not necessary. Advantages of manual hubs : -less friction on CV joints/boots (since they are not turning) thus extending the life of the CV parts -no slop connect/disconnect while engaging -100% certain you are locked in and they won't pop out and the m...

Re: Converted - Pajero -> Delica

Drop an asking price so we can put the word out for you. Might just sell the Paj. off this forum. More details would be good too. Good luck on your resale and also on your trip...sounds fantastic. Thanks and will do. We're pretty excited to get into a Delica since we've have really good experiences...

Re: Converted - Pajero -> Delica

Welcome to the forum! That's too bad that you can't keep the Paj, it looks really nice. I bet you were some worried the firsttime you took it underground, it looks like you only have a bout an inch or two of clearance! Very. I had two peep's checking for clearance. Problem we have is that according...

Converted - Pajero -> Delica

Well, 1st post. We're making the plunge. We're planning a year long trip in the winter going south to central America and just bought (about to import) a nice 91 Super Exceed crystal roof. I imported a beautiful Pajero last year and it has been good to us. I hate to part with the Paj becau...
