Re: broken parking pole

Hi Craig, My one broke before at the same point . It did leave portion of the thread in the base . I have the thread removed and put back the upper piece (slightly shortened ) into it and secured with locktie ( spelling not sure is right ). It is good ever since fixed. I have a workshop at the place...

Re: Fuel saver?

You should have the O/D on all the time. The tranny usually shift into O/D @ about 70 km. Some members may experience it even shifht earlier. I use to drive within the speed limit if possible but with O/D on it works lots of the time. So to me I think it will help fuel economy. Only my 2 cents.

You can buy PIAA 4100K ( Kelvin Temp.) from Oversea Auto on 4th and Main. I bought mine from an advice here (forum ) and is very happy. They cost $59.00 a pair . Not as white and bright as HID but save the trouble as the installation is straight forward and simple.Just don't touch the bulbs with you...

Re: Dash kit for L400 stereo

If you have the time , try fix it as RichD and Jesse suggested. I will and spent the money saved towards a nice stereo. Yes, lots of patience but I don't think is that hard. May be fun!

Thanks Jesse for the big picture of the fuel pump main shaft and seal. :-) Thanks Roadie for your reply as well. Nice to hear that your L400 runs a lot better and your wife loves it more now. I guess it shouldn't be a problem getting the right main seal as it is a popular item . Too bad the no. is o...

Injection pump seal on its way out? Help !

Yesterday after work @ 2:30 pm I started my van with no or little problem ( a little splutter). Just idle for a minute and drove away slowly. The temp. was still cold on the dial. It stalled after driving for about couple kilometers on the highway without any warning. I was able to row it to the sid...

Re: Where should I get my brakes & oil change done?

I use to do oil change myself. It is easy as you don't even have to jack up the van. Brake service., I think any shop you use to go will do., as it is nothing unusual.
