Delica Camping... and now Hammocking

This past summer my whole camping scenario changed. Rather than stuffing myself into the van with a air mattress Im going more stealthy bushwise with hammocks. My back surgery last November had made sleeping on crappy surfaces, tenting and van camping a problem. Not any more. Anyone else into hammoc...

Yes, the 30's fit.

I had them on my L300 with no mods
I used AT3 coopers.

You should seriously try here: https://www.rxauto.com It works. We have my friends diesel surf fixed with it. Going on a number of years with it and there is some threads of guys over in Australia who ordered it and it's been working for 4+ years. Call them and they will ship it to you. Hardest thin...

Re: Delica Buying Advice - From a foreign land edition

Im on the other side of the fence on this one. In decent shape maybe 4,000. I think owners try to recoup losses to a vehicle by saying... needed a tranny, needed a rebuild. Spent this much money. Instead it should be 'maintaining' value. It's not worth 11k with that many km on it. It looks pretty wo...

What I have learned this month

1) just because a shop says they did something right doesn't mean they did. Some technicians might just be late for lunch , lazy or in a 'stupid vehicle ' mode. Case in point. A) took l400 in for ujoints last summer. (2013). Then all last year started looking for a gremlin vibration. You don't want ...

Head Issues - Pls tell me I am wrong

And if you have a crack or warp or issue with the gasket there is a solution other than rebuild. I've posted before about thermagasket at https://www.rxauto.com/index.htm And it works. I've used it on a diesel Toyota surf and a member in the Aussie forum has reported success as well. I think he's go...

Head Issues - Pls tell me I am wrong

1: yes. A hairline crack might not be evident until the metal expands in the heat. 2: a crack in the HG might vent out into the exhaust. The exhaust will smell sweet (ish) and be blowing white. HG crack into the oil turns the oil milky and crappy. However you may have got lucky. Keep an eye on your ...

Oil pressure sensor

Ok. Here's the rub. On our 4m40 motors that sensor is under the intercooler. Easy access. The difficult thing is that it uses British pipe thread different than the l300. I have plans to put my old oil bypass filter on it at some time soooo if you get one made up get two. I'll buy the other. [img]ht...

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?

Re-indexed the torsion bars on the L400 I originally had the nasty star look and figured I should try to level the van since it's going in for lower ball joints and will be needing a wheel alignment at the same time. With the 2" lift those torsion bars didn't want to go even with the re-indexin...

L300, seems to be loosing power, unable to get fuel

I think he was referring to gas as in the pedal. No biggie.
Also he was pointing out the injector below the rail. It's got a bunch of crud around it.
