Re: Selling off all Delica Accessories

Sounds good. As Christine will surely tell you if she chimes in, the air filter can really change how the vehicle breaths when it gets clogged, and it gets clogged fairly often. I've found that regardless of paper or K&N you'll want to be changing or cleaning it every 5000km.

Re: Selling off all Delica Accessories

I do still have the K&N air filter! I live in Coquitlam and commute to Vancouver daily, so I'm fairly flexible with meeting locations.

Re: ngk glow plugs

If you have 12V and are just looking to replace them, you should be fine.

Re: ngk glow plugs

I'd be careful with NGK, I put them in my van and they didn't function properly with my ECU, so the van wouldn't start. I tried having the ECU refurbished only to discover it was the plugs, so I wired them into a manual switch, but wished I had bought 12V instead of 6.

Re: Starting problems

At only 5000km I would think they'd last a while. It will depend on how often your stopping and starting your vehicle though. Mine lasted me for around 80,000km before my vehicle was totaled, so I don't know how much longer they would have lasted.

You missed it by a year! :-D Feel free to create a meet of your own though - it's been a little while since the last one.

Re: Horn button repair

I put a new steering wheel on and taped the wires in place - worked great!

Re: 1992 Delica l300 Exceed crystal light roof

Unfortunately I don't have any of these anymore, but I would be wary of the sliding windows, they are very easy to break into - unless you plan to replace the slider panel with a vent.

Re: L300 in whitehorse, glow plug issue and now no start up

Replacing the ECU is a plug and play type of scenario, it's very easy, but it requires small hands. I'm selling a refurbished one, I just need to find out where it went since I moved a few things around. You can determine if the ecu is the issue by bypassing it. Just connect a wire directly from the...

Re: curious

I spent a fair amount of time travelling around the US and Canada and luckily didn't have too many issues. The two times I did, I took the vehicle to a mechanic in the area that had good online reviews and I was able to get most parts from parts stores in the area. For the items I did need to order,...

Re: Starting problems

It's the Electronic Control Unit. It's what cycles your glow plugs. If you turn the key part way, you should hear them click to tell you they're hot and then turn the key all the way to start the van. If you don't hear the lick that's an obvious issue. If you do hear it, there still might be a fault...

Re: Fuel Additives

is anyone travelling from the lower mainland to Kelowna anytime soon? I could use a petrolabs refill. :) I'm not travelling there anytime soon, but I believe I have one bottle left and then I'm going to stop distributing (unless I get a fairly large order). I'm happy to sell it at a nicely reduced ...

Re: What did you do to your Pajero today?

I didn't do a gorram thing to my Delica, but last week I finally finished my "safari" curtains. Here's a shot of the rear curtain. Curtains held in place with strong magnets hot-glued to the plastic window trim and funky-saying backpack buttons (couldn't find steel disks to sew in place m...

Re: Starting problems

I also meant to metioin that after I get the van started and it warms up, the van will restart no problem, as it should start. Cheers That sounds like a glow plug or ECU issue to me. You can try attaching a wire or jumper cable directly from your battery to glow plugs to see if the van starts fine ...
