Hehe, they are replaced from behind the tailgate trim panel inside, its actually fibre optic out to the panel letters. Still a faff though.

The only plausible explanation is the polarity is wrong, as above. It might be worthwhile taking a close look at the connector, soketimes you can push down a clip on the metal insert and remove it from the plug, assuming both are the same and swap them over which is a neater solution. Well the right answer is to measure what you have at the light socket and prove which is +- and go from there, but given the nature of the fitment its entirely plausible that its wired backwards, so chopping it should work. Its weird though, and there must be a reason.

And that my friends is where the temp gauge should sit.
I tried a wheel about that size but felt it was too small, bit weird at 50-60mph. A 14.5" though felt a lot better, the stock was too big really, left me stretching for the corners.

Bear in mind that due to the nature of the drive system in the 300 you shouldnt use 4wd on hard surfaces that wont allow any wheel slip. Ie tarmac vs snow/mud/gravel.

These instructions are for the l400 though that has a totally different transmission by design.

As above, but, once the wheels are locked I think you can switch on the move at round town speeds, but I dont have a reference to back that up.

Kyb are the current oem fitment if you buy from mitsu I believe. I have some on mine (possibly not the exact same model) they made a big difference and seem to have lasted ok.

Pajero, space star to name 2. You may find you need a spacer as most wheels sit quite low.

While doing all that door work you should have let in some drains like later doors have, which stop exactly that rust problem.
