Should I buy

You've left out all the important information. What is shot? How many kms are on it? How mechanically able are you? If you get it for $2000 and bring it to a mechanic and say "make it run" start applying the lubricant of your choice now because you're going to get royally screwed. If you a...

Wheel alignment specs

Thanks Growler! You're right, the torsion bar adjustment on the L200 looks like my 94 Strada. The shop did not do the alignment. ....the wheels bearings were loose so they tightened those and the idler arm is shot. Ordered a new idler arm from partsouq yesterday. I really like partsouq so far. Order...

Wheel alignment specs

So I have searched the forum and I just want to be certain that the specs I'm bringing to the shop tomorrow are the right ones. There seems to be some different numbers.... This is for my 1994 Mitsubishi strada, K34T model, which I believe is the same as an L300 Delica. I cranked up the driver side ...

Trailer wiring?

I doubt you'll be able to buy anything off the shelf. It isn't hard to figure out which wire is which with a test light. Check my post on towing, you may need an adapter for a flat four plug.

2000 Toyota Townace

35C in the shade, what better time to get ready for winter? I strapped a short shovel onto the passenger side along with some traction matts I found. s2.JPG s1.JPG I have been thinking about how to boost the truck in the winter with the battery under the seat. I don’t want to screw around with that ...

Shouldn't be too hard to tap it yourself. What size bolt was in there? Buy a tap for the next size up and give it a try. Canadian Tire has ok tap and die sets and they come in handy. Best to buy on sale of course. You could go to the next size up in SAE so you don't have to do any drilling. Check Go...

Why SOOO many views but few replies?!?!?

I check the forum pretty much daily after reading the news to see if there is anything interesting going on. I will comment if I can be helpful and have the time. If I don't have any insights, I don't post but may check back to see the eventual conclusion to add to Mt knowledge base. If the post is ...

EGT Gauge freak out

"My van isn't running very well" as molten metal drips onto the asphalt starting small fires in your wake. Yes I bought a cheapie EGT gauge as well and I'm planning on an upgrade. The day I'm towing a trailer of course it's spazzing out, driving around town, works normal. Stupid thing! Ral...

Trailer Towing

The weight is a guesstimate but car haulers aren't light. It is only 16' long so maybe around 1500 pounds is more likely. I'm dying to know so I'll see if I can get it on some scales. I had no problems running up to the cabin. A steady 3000 rpm around 105kmph and EGTs only a little higher than usual...

Trailer Towing

I picked up my buddy's 20' trailer the other night, towed real well. I kept the speed at about 90kmph and my engine and EGTs were about the same as driving 105kmph. This of course on flat roads with minimal wind. Loaded the trailer the other day with 20 sheets of roofing material and am hauling it 2...
