Front skid plates for sale, interested?
I'm getting a front skid made, using the drawing from this page...

Thinking we'll do a run of 8 of them, if anyone is interested let me know, and what kind of transmission, AT or Manual. also if anyone has input on what material, alu vs steel, and what thickness you'd want, hopefully we can use a material/thickness that would work for everyone.

I might be interested in a steel one. However, it depends on price.

Price I'm thinking will be around 200, depends on material and how much it'll cost to get them cut.

I would be interested in one for a 1991 automatic L300. Aluminum would be fine for me. Any idea on price / interests yet?

Ok we've got our first two made, these are for a manual, since I can't test fit them, I'll sell for 150, though just holding up to my van it looks like it would fit really well. The bends match up perfectly to the drawings. I just have the front end of mine taken apart so can't actually fit it.
Message me if interested.
Also, after looking at it a bit, we're thinking of making a new two piece design that would have some cross bars that tie into the frame, then continues quite a ways further back. It would also completely illuminate the stock under engine pans or whatever those things are called? Hoping to have a design within a couple weeks.
We can still see these skids, but from here on out we may need to get the orders ahead of time to cover the cost of material since we'll be focusing on the other version.

In Colorado, my friends company makes jeep parts, we're doing it in his shop. The two piece thing COULD take awhile to get to a point where we have a design we could sell. it'll be a bit more involved.Stella87 wrote:Interested! 1991 automatic as well, where are these being made? We can definitely make a lot more of these skids for now though. I'm waiting till we get 4 interested people total till we make a run of skids for an auto l300. We're at two now.

I just got my '98 L400 v6 auto the other day and am thinking of adding a skid plate. If this is compatible I would love to be kept in the loop

The original post is referring to a Starwagon (L300) Delica, which is a different animal than a Space Gear (L400) Delica.
