Hi guys,
Has anyone had any luck removing the rear mirror thats on the back tailgate?
I just got a Batwing awning that wraps around to the back, and if the mirror was gone I could have the tailgate up perfectly.
As it is, it gets in the way. Also I never use it because I have a backup camera installed...
Looks like there's a little notch to pop the cover off and then is it bolted on?
Might look weird once removed though! Guess I can cover it with something

You could use firewall plugs, they come in different sizes. Just wanna make sure it’s sealed! Good luck

Yep, pop the cover off then it's held with 3 #3 Phillips machine screws. Maybe just get some black machine screws and put them back in? Would look better then the brass/gold ones Mitsubishi used
