Delica Trader
Is it ever going to be re-worked or just left as a stale fart in a jar in the pantry forever?

Re: Delica Trader
Non commercial sellers should be able to post their vehicles for sale in the forum, like we used to. I used to like looking at what people had for sale, what upgrades had been done, etc. I liked that they would show up as "new posts"
It was also cool that people could ask questions, make comments, etc. you know, like a forum. There was life.
Bring back the members vehicles for sale section.

Re: Delica Trader
I liked those too, but too many curbers were taking advantage of the platform. If someone isn't a registered dealer but dealing, how can we justify removing that post? As much as I would like to see them come back, do you have suggestions on how to define a dealer and a "non commercial seller?"

Re: Delica Trader
How does making the system crummy for everyone discourage "curbers" They can still use delica trader. I only know of one delica member who was accused of being a curber - and he has moved on for the most part. So what gives?

Re: Delica Trader
It is very simple to distinguish between a curber and an actual member selling 1 vehicle. Most of us have had the same 1 or 2 vehicle for the whole time we have been on the site. There was only a few members that were flipping vehicles every few months. And they were not even an issue...the issue that led to Delica Trader was flooding of posts by dealers. Pretty sure this all went down before you were even a member Nxski...ya noob

Re: Delica Trader
I was definitely a member in the heat of that. It probably would be fine now, I'm just bringing up the problems we had in the past. The people who sell a vehicle every couple months are the problem. We claim that they are curbers and they claim they just get bored of vehicles quickly and want a change. Before considering bringing it back there would have to be some kind of clear guideline regarding what constitutes a dealer.

Re: Delica Trader
Wow... Usually I had to move threads from the rest of the site into The Last Word Café. If this keeps carrying on I might have to move this thread from the LWC to Site Suggestions!
You know... I liked the old set up myself. For the most part it kept everything real and in the community. If it wasn't for the lobbyists it would probably still be this way. This is a topic that comes up regularly in the secret admin conspiracy meeting agendas, I will direct Mark's attention to this thread.
Falco.

Re: Delica Trader
Can I put forth a motion to bring back the for sale area for site members exactly as it was...except with a couple of clear extra rules.
- Dealers stay on Delica Trader no exceptions. no posting at all. no "i have that" replies. Not even friendly "nice van good luck with sale". nothing. Dealer posts anything regardless of intent it gets deleted. no gray area = no confusion = no arguments.
- If someone on the delica.ca for sale area looks to be a curber with an oddly high number of vehicles for sale time after time then have it a twin mod call...if two mods agree it is a curber then let fly Thor's hammer and delete the post.
Brining back the member for sale area will not be a negative to Delica Trader as Mark had stated he was worried about earlier. I think it would make it better and cleaner to be dealer only. It is really only the delaers who keep their posts up to date on Delica Trader, most private posts on DT are little more than gravestone markers after a month.
