The day that Albert Einstein
most feared
may have finally arrived:

I received a variation of this from a radio buddy. I typically don't forward this kind of thing along... oh, just a second I got a text.... anyway, I just wanted to say.... damn, he's arguing my point over the historical relevance of a Kipling novella.... I just wanted to.... hmm.... not it is a fictional story..... I just wanted to say that the socia..... I don't care what Wikipedia says..... that the social integrity of...... You've got to be joking ~ pillock........ the social integrity of modern ma....... oh, give me a break! That sounds more like the directions to Costco......What drugs are you on, anyway?..... the integrity of modern man is weighing in the scales of...... seriously? Are you sleeping at.... oh, may I have more tea please? Cheers..... modern man is standing on the scales and it ain't prett.... no, clear please.... ...Kipling meant it as an allegory... ...no, no sugar..... ...it's a bloody novella!..... ....thank you.....

Ah, yes ~ where were we? Standing on the scales? What scales? Oh yes, man is standing on the scales and... ...you're an idiot, Kipling was a poet.... why, where are you going? So you're going to drive? Oh, you're driving now..... ...dude?.... ....Standing on the scales of Darwinism. Do you follow me?

That and like many other BS quotes circulated around the internet, something that Einstein never actually said.

Try Googling 'Fake Einstein Quotes'

Well, I guess you just can't take the internet for gospel.

Glad you brought that point up, mind, for as much as I agree with the sentiment of the quote (bogus or otherwise) ~ a thought did occur to me as to why would he consider this opinion when by the time he died in 1955 the most advanced communication was telephony ~ and texting, still in the analogue period, still required paper.

In the meantime I still brake for texters stepping off the kerb like zombies, engaged with their brain eating buzzing boxes ~ and as I've always said: Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from
mediocre minds... Image
