Meet and Greet...Sunday, Feb.03, 2013

Hello Atlantic Canada Delica owners!
I propose we try and get as many of us together as possible for a casual meet and greet(there must be at least three or four of us)?
How about we shoot for Sunday, Feb.03, 2013?

I am taking delivery of my first Delica in January and would love to connect with any other Delica owners in Atlantic Canada.
I am based out of the Halifax area but suggest we try to meet wherever the largest concentration of East Coast Delica owners can be found.
My hope is to share knowledge and experiences among like minded folks.

Message in if you are interested and/or have a preferred date, place, time.

Thanks,
Jim

Good Snowy evening Jim.

We have 2 Delica's parked in the driveway. I have a 96 L400 Super Exceed and my son bought a 93 L300 super Exceed in Dec. I've had mine since July 2011. We love them. You probably have seen mine at DYC over the last 2 summers. Craig and I would be up to getting together at some point. The 3rd would work in the afternoon.
I was redirected to your new website form your old Lifeline site. Good start.

Doug

Hi Doug,

Thank you for the contact. It is a hell of a snowy night. This is just the second day for my Delica in NS and I have already had to test out the 4wd. Nice!
I have seen your Delica at AYC but not since I have been looking at them more seriously. Small world.

Re: PlanetDelica.com...I am working with my domain supplier to set up my account better but at least for now I have a basic website to work with.

I am also reachable on FaceBook as Planet Delica. Another basic page for now.

I have also put a little ad on kijiji looking for Delica owners and a fellow from Prospect contacted me.

Lets think about where to meet up on Feb.03?

Mine is at Scotia Tire and Krown all day tomorrow(Thursday). Can't wait to get the BFG Mud Terrain tires on.

Anyway, I'm thrilled to see you on-line. I was hoping the one from DYC would show up:)

So at this point you have a couple ways to contact me but here you are again....

OK folks, let's go with Sunday, February 03, 2013.

Time: 1:00pm

For the first time out I suggest we meet at the Starbucks in Bayers Lake beside Halifax Chrysler.

On Sunday there will be loads of parking with the adjoining office parking lots. We should need at least three spaces this first time out:)
Anyway, the coffee will be good and it is reasonably central and easy to find.

We can discuss your ideas for the next Geomeet location on Sunday.

Hope to see as many East Coasters as possible whether you own a Delica or are simply interested.

Contact me any time.

First ever Atlantic Canada Geomeet.

We have planted the seed and pulled off our first meet in Atlantic Canada.
Attended by Father/Son team from Mineville, NS. Doug and Craig Colson and myself Jim Newell. Between us there are three Delicas(2-L400's & 1-L300).
What we lacked in numbers was made up for in ambition and Delica spirit.
These guys are keeners and I am happy to have met them.
We know of about four or five that should be available for the next meeting/trail run.

Watch for the next meeting to be down the Eastern Shore, maybe even a run from Porters Lake to the Airport....That's right there is no road from Porters Lake to the Airport;)

Below is a photo of Doug and Craig in front of Craig's L300 and my L400.

Cheers,
Jim
