For the l300's you don't really have to worry about lwb, I'm not sure if there are even any in Canada. For the l400's that could be a concern. In terms of space inside the l400swb has less room than the l300 but the l400lwb has more room. The other thing to take into co sideration is that the l300 is quite short so much easier to park in the city.

Thanks for the info. There are lwb's available in Canada. We're looking at a couple, one due to arrive any day now. We aren't concerned about parking in the city - I've driven some huge vehicles and don't have a problem parking. But a swb is a problem as we've already looked at them, had tall friends own them and they all say, get the lwb.

I'm pretty sure l-300's only come in one wheel base and if you wanted a longer one it would be one of the cargo ones that are 2wd.

There are 10 passenger 2wd versions which are longer and there are some lwb versions with dual sliding doors that I have seen in Europe but as I said before I haven't seen any in Canada. Where have you found these ones you've looked at?

Either way, the L300 doesn't need to have a LWB to accommodate a tall person and it would be much better for offroading that a longer wheel base version.

I'm surprised to still see this one for sale! Come on potential buyers, the fact that the roof is already done should add another $2000 to the value of this as that's how much it costs to have it done professionally. In essence that makes this equivalent to a $6000 Delica and finding a similar one for that is damn near impossible!

We had one of these L300's in New Zealand last year. It looks like about a 2000. Ours had the 4D56T engine. I also seen them for sale there in 4x4.

Crazy price!

My wife has started talking about L300's. And I have a good friend that lives in Merville that I have been meaning to visit. Hmmm temptation is taking root...I'm starting the justification process... :-D
