Unofficially joined the club!
Hey everyone. I posted in April about wanting a Delica. Yesterday, I pulled the trigger. Got myself a nice little 2001 Chamonix. She just has to take a little boat ride across the Pacific before its officially mine here in the East Kootenays. I can't say how excited I am! What were some of the first things you all did when you got yours? I think I might want to do curtains or some sort of sun/privacy screen so I can get out and camp in it all summer. Lets hear all your first modding experiences! Cheers

Welcome to Delica Canada, Saul
One thing I did was design and had installed an adjustable metal rack in my cargo bay. It's great for stowing camp craft gear and work equipment, plus it folds up so I can utilise the cabin seating.
You can do much with these machines.

Wow. How cool is that. Does the metal rack double as a surface to sleep on or is it strictly for storage? I haven't decided how permanent I want to make any of my mods for camping. I don't want to lose all my seats in case I ever have passengers. But I also don't want to mess around with taking things out in order to camp and visa versa. I've seen some pretty cool stuff on this forum so hopefully when she arrives I can contribute to the site with my own projects.

Strictly for storage but the grate part is hinged so it swings up and I can set the seats up for sitting or sleeping. I'm using expanded mesh so I can tie down (or up) to it, which is totally awesome when you're negotiating strange terrain.
