Im pretty sure Type R's are what I put in there.. Not a car audio guy, just know they were top quality old stock. The bass is a little lacking depending on what music you listen to and how good your new amp is. (mine is a $60 cd player the dealer through in).

Really you also need door speakers if you want a good balance between front and rear. I put 4" alpines courtesy of crappy tire for the front and they're alright but need a crossover to take less bass frequencies which clip them. Im considering just running a quality medium power 2 channel to get the best fidelity from whats already there. I really don't ever have room for the sub as it is. If ever I ditch the rear heater, maybe I'll make a box for under there lol.

Do some searches at the UK pajero forum, there are a couple good setups and lots of info and pics there.

I ended up going with a single 10" Energy sub in a sealed box, with an MTX amp. It is a small package and fits well in the Pajero (pics to follow). There is plenty of bass for the small interior, and it works great!

Just thought I would post a few more pics of the Pajero. These include the Hella Supertones in the dash that I installed over the Christmas break :D They come in handy for Edmonton drivers.

Here are some pics of the ski rack (Sport Rack 6 Ski/4 board) that I bought. It makes the truck quite a bit taller, with quite a bit worse fuel economy :(

These are the pictures from the installation of the Supertones. It went pretty smoothly since the stock horns were right behind the grille in the first place.

Then, I bought and installed a Kicker 10" sub with an MTX Audio amp. The wiring was straightforward, and it fits nicely behind the rear seats.

How do you like your new Hella's?

Most stock JDM's sound like they have a miniature crow screaming when you tap the horn. I more forceful sound would be better.

These a good alternative?

Hey jfarsang,

I love the Hellas. They sound really mean, and they look cool! Dumb drivers hear them clearly.

Have you found somewhere to get the t case gears? Ive only found that marks 4wd site from Australia and they want like $1300!!!
