Restoration of my delica

I but here some story, when I try to fix my car.

First, there was a some engine warm up problem, so I change
thermostat, piece of cake.

Also alternator belt was little over used. :-D

My back is now painful, so tomorrow I try on a new belt.

Wow. That's quite the alternator belt... Have you checked the timing belt lately? If your alternator belt breaks then you are without electrical charge. If your timing belt breaks then you are without engine.

Yes that I have to do soon as possible.

Some years a go I even made a note for 4D56 engine.
It`s a finnish but pics tells a lot. :-)

I can ensure you, that will be a calming feeling when you will get over these things.
When I changed the timing belt i also replaced the water pump, and all of the belts.

They come together ;)

Don`t forget oilseals, or all hard work can be a waste of time. :-)

Absolutely. Before I first purchased my Starwagon I paid $200 and got her checked out. As she had been sitting for a time in Yokohama, her oil seals had dried out some and even though the timing belt had recently been changed it was all for naught because there was oil all over it. Hot oil compromises the integrity of the timing belt and consequently the timing belt had to be done again (along with the oil seals).

Today i take a backseat off and repair it, nothing much, cabel was loose.

very easy to put it back in hole.

Some cleaning and window wash operation too.
And those ugly curtains i take off. :?

Now water temperatutre is fine, i also change temperature sensor.
Then i thought about gauges....
I need EGT, turbo boost and maybe water temperature gauges and don`t want put
them on dashboard, then i think, how about this way?

New glowplugs are now in and it`s starting much better.
Yesterday I got a stuck, when driving deep snow :-(
I need a better tires and winch. :?

That`s truth, but I`m so lazy :-|
And if you are stuck whit yours stomach, chains don`t help.

Spring is goming fast on here and have to do something my deli.... :?
Now I have to take of backseats, because need my deli on working project.
Some another fixing have to do also... pics later. :-)

All day long fixing my deli, new audio system (130W pioneer in back) and
childrens want`s little roof screen. :-)

Yes! Finally I change the belts and all seals.
Two days a go, alternators tighten bolt severed and I thought why not
do all things at once. :-)

Maybe I take a front of car little bit higher and make leafsprings better too.
But we see what is the results. :?
